The fact he's never heard of Sam Smith makes me believe he's never heard "Someone You Loved" by Lewis Capaldi before. That's gotta be a felony or something.
this song was well and truly slept on when it was released. it's stuck a great song, written well and sung amazingly and the lyrics for both are just great
110% Pass!! This has always been one of my favorite songs. Sam Smith has been such an inspiration growing up, you should definitely look at more of their songs too!!
Their songs* Got to get the correct pronouns in this day and age :) Completely agree with you though! Saw Sam live a couple years back and it was amazing. their music has helped me through so many hard times with mental health and stuff. Hope you're having an amazing day. Stay safe and god bless x
Yo I just physically can’t fall asleep to music no matter how hard I try but I put yo playlist on Spotify and actually fell asleep. Love your stuff bro❤️
ActiveFire533 I’ve heard nothing from The Weekend but wanna get into his stuff. Could u give me a brief rundown of him as a person / artist and what order is best listening to his albums?
@@gamestation130 I'm a bit of a Weeknd fan so I'll see what I can tell you. Basically, I'll start of by saying that Weeknd has portrayed a "dark" image of himself ... He left home when he was a teenager one weekend (which inspired his stage name "The Weeknd") and was homeless for a while too, whilst also getting into the drug & girls scene. This kinda inspires the sound of his first "album" Trilogy, which is therefore fairly dark thematically - drugs, sex etc as he was in a dark place. I say "album" because Trilogy is actually his first 3 mixtapes combined together (hence the "tri" in trilogy) - the 3 mixtapes separately are: "House of Balloons", "Thursday" & "Echoes of Silence" (you can see the individual tracklists online). Honestly, the whole Trilogy is a MUST listen - it is the introduction to this dark character of "Weeknd" or Abel (his real name). After Trilogy, just listen to his albums chronologically, as you can see his progression experimenting different sounds as you go through his discography. He started off with this dark R&B stuff in Trilogy, but his other albums all sound a bit distinct - like his album "Starboy" which is a lot more pop than R&B influenced etc. Chronological order: Trilogy - a must listen as this is what makes Weeknd a standout in my view, darker sounding with aggressive themes (drug, sex, love, cheating etc), it's a certified classic for me Kissland - honestly, I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on this from friends and critics alike so I'll just ask you to listen to this one - you may either like it a lot or won't , but as I said before, this has a different "sound" from Trilogy Beauty Behind Madness - you can hear more pop influences coming in now but it still has some darker Weeknd vibes here, great album for both Weeknd fans and even commercially Starboy - a lot more pop influenced now My Dear Melancholy - very dark and "sad" as this was when Abel broke off from his relationship with Selena (and Bella Hadid? not sure about Bella), darker and more like Trilogy here After Hours - most recent one, and very interesting as you can tell Abel is maturing and growing old - regrets, guilt, responsibility etc Honestly, his whole discography is great, I personally think Starboy was his worst album and even then, Starboy wasn't that bad.
Yo, LayedBak. I was on my discover weekly playlist on spotify and Blasian came on. Man, I can't believe I have been sleeping on that song. I ride in a Grand Marquis with a 12" Sub woofer in the truck and by god does that thing hop.
Lol layedbak trying to sing got me that was cute but ya this song is so amazing lyrics on point def a personal fav of mine this song got me through a lot.
BEAUTIFUL reaction! Loved your facial expressions and sample singing lol...just heard this song recently, so i have been sleeping on this one and a bit late for your reaction video. Nonetheless, i enjoyed your genuine/funny reaction!! Sam Smith really does take you to church!!
This is such a good reaction! Highly underrated song. Thanks for doing this song, I love Logic and loved that you respected the vocal beast that is Sam Smith!
everything you said about growth and getting to the root of the issue and changing....PREACH. you reminded me of Justin Bieber for a second because he said the same thing. I recommend you watch (you don't have to react to it, just watch it) to his docuseries seasons episode 5. it's called the dark season and he goes into some heavy topics, I think you'd like it
I was wondering why this sounded so familiar, but I could never recall logic being on this song so it had my tripping. This song did the rounds on UK radio back in 2017 when it was released. I don't think the logic version was played much when it was released a year later.
My mom knows Sam Smith he went to school with her in Winters CA. His mom won the lottery too. Apparently my mom and him were good friends and one day when I was a little baby we were at his house before his fame and I was in his lap and he sung me to sleep
