The reason why Eric doesn’t add all this info to his characters because he thinks he can milk his audience by telling them they have to buy all these comics to get all this info. He’s litterally said that you have to buy the next comic just to find out basic info. Eric isn’t doing these comics to tell a story, he’s just making books so people can pay to unlock more and more info.

Eric has made a big deal about canon, it's in his rippaverse ethics page as canon and continuity. Well, if he keeps the facts about his universe as vague and unknown (like the info on those cards) that's less he has to remember about the canon and continuity. If there's less to remember, it's probably easier to crap out more books quickly. Also he probably doesn't want anyone disrespecting him if forgets his own continuity, thus keep everything vague and mysterious, again, less to remember

This whole time a part of me was thinking Eric was just bad at communicating his lore. My wife pointed out that I have a bias since I've been roleplaying and engaged in story telling in one form or another for so many years. It is funny to hear EVS and CG criticize EJ for charging so much for an art book. CG charges $25 for a 48-page book that may be a bit more than 2x the length of a 22-page monthly. If we assume $4 for a monthly they are charging approximately 3x the price ($25 v $8 for 2 monthly). But that is okay with them to charge 3x the price for their books but EJ can’t charge even more for his. So I guess a small grift is ok but a big grift isn’t😂🤡 Shane was comparing the EJ art book to what is available on the market. What if we compare CG books to what is available at Barnes and Noble. CG is not even selling a full story in their books. For example, to get the full Cyberfrog story you will have to buy 4 $25 books for a total of $100. Compare CG’s price of $100 for a story v. The price of a graphic novel on the market of about $25 and CG is over charging by 4x. If Shane thinks EJ needs to increase page count for his art book, CG needs to increase its page count to tell a full story to be commensurate with what is available on the market. What EJ is doing is exposing the grift of CG by being even more extreme.
