Really loved this vlog, nice to see Amsterdam and the shops. The cakes look amazing although the trams and bikes are very scary.

If you fancy asian cantonese food I recommend restaurant “New King” at Zeedijk. For nice cakes and cupcakes you should visit “De Drie Graefjes” at Rokin. A couple of rolls, pringles, sausage rolls etc. My bag did get pulled over through security once because I took a dairylea dunker and the cheese was showing as an unidentified liquid 😂😂😂😂😂😂 OMG …….. the houseboat……Adorable…..LOVE IT 😊😊😊 I love the fact I have never been to Amsterdam so with you guys not having been either we are exploring together, this is exciting 😅 More first time adventures please👍🏽

I love all aspects of flight. Every day is different. I saw quite a bit of high cloud when you took off. The cold air over Europe and UK has forced all the low pressure systems to run closer to Tenerife. Schiphol airport has some fantastic transport connections. The train only takes 10 mins or so to get into Amsterdam, way cheaper and quicker by a country mile. Love the house boat by the way.

Really enjoyed watching this as I have been to the dam a few times and still haven’t seen it all. I enjoyed the market you went to in Suid (I think) didn’t know about that. April 30 is the Queen’s Birthday and the whole city parties for the day. It’s amazing seeing what floats down the canals 🎉😂

Also that boat you saw at (31:13) towards the end of the video is a river cruise, there are loads of company’s which do river cruises, similar to a cruise ship but obviously smaller☺️😀

Dam has been my second home over the years I love it, almost feel sorry for you tho going from Tenerife to dam. What a top year use have had tho, the Florida music is magic ;)

The train has a line directly to the airport which is really easy to use

That Oliva & Bellota food place in TFS airport is good, great pain au chocolat from there, but Rob's "jamon bocadillo" was €12.75, he enjoyed it though!! Amsterdam wasn't on my top ten of places to visit, but may be changing my mind soon! Looks brilliant - I love the buildings and the canals, and the pancake shop. Loving the vlogs thanks for all you both do x

On your departure it may be worth getting the train from Centraal station? It takes around 10/ 15 minutes and it’s about 6euro. Nearly every train calls at Schipol so you won’t be waiting more than 10 minutes for a train. And the train station is directly underneath the Airport (comes up some escalators to where the plaza of shops are when you go through baggage collection). Be warned about security and passport control to non-Schengen too. I’ve been back or forth to the UK 8 times since May and the quickest it’s taken me is 1hr 45 to clear security and passport control (shortage of security staff supposedly). But the good thing is they have the advanced scanners so don’t need to take liquids etc out of your bags.

Nice to see you in my hometown, you've seen a lot ! I wanted to give some tips but you've probably left already and you may have been there by now. They were: Reguliersdwarsstraat with lots of bars and restaurants (off Koningsplein), Tuschinski Art Deco Cinema in the Reguliersbreestraat ("the most beautiful cinema in the world"), Rembrandtplein (square), Amstel river with the Skinny bridge (Magere brug). The Jordaan area with its small canals and the royal palace on Dam square. Enjoy your holiday. We're off to Tenerife again at Christmas for 4 weeks (this time with TUI) .

Love takeoff best..usually get a toastie on TUI..and a cup of tea lasts me two hours..dont like using the loos lol Tui to La Palma twice a year for me 👍

that draining feeling when you lose/miss place passport/docs😩. i always grab Honey Rum from the duty free as we only travel with carry on so cant bring it from the hyper dino which is half the price.

I visited Amsterdam many years ago. Schiphol airport is amazing. Places to see are Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, a torture museum and a sex museum. I have seen the first three but not the last one, although a friend recommended it. Amusing to hear the commentary in Dutch at the Van Gogh Museum. Also of course the Anne Frank House. The boat tour on the canal is fun.

Great choice to stay in a boathouse, a must experience in NL! I've done it once. Did you order a beer in the restaurant?
