I was holding onto way too much travel gear clutter and a thorough sort and declutter was well overdue. I walk you through my whole process and share my final results with you in this video. Jen, other people are commenting on this, but I want to say that you seem so at peace in this video. And it doesn't feel fake or forced. I was just watching some of your older videos (I've been following your journey for years and years), and the comparison between then and now is striking. I'm sure you were happy back then, too, but you just seem so settled in yourself and seem to be in your element recently... I hope that reads the way I mean for it to :)

I haven’t seen your face since my planner obsession days. I’m 25 but got into EC in high school and I spiraled into all things planner related for many years which is when I discovered you. I’m now 25 and been minimalist for the past 3 years. I’m happy to have found you again! I just finished your newest travel videos and it reminds me of watching your Disney packing videos while I would pack for my family vacations. This is real growth! We can’t own every cute thing. We can’t own every bottle of nail Polish, every pouch, every whatever. We can pick things that are useful to us. There is such a thing as enough. You are so smart to think about what’s useful. Meanwhile other people can use them. Enough really is enough. Good for you, so much growth!

Did you save any of the little pouches for CC? She would probably love to have them for her little things, especially if she may need little bags going between homes, especially as she grows into a teen and will have more she wants to keep on her all the time. Just a thought.

I haven't checked in on you in a while & it's great to see your smiling face! I'm so impressed with your willingness to toss the things you don't use. I have a pouch & tote bay problem & have to cull them once in a while. I have reorganized my travel things so many times & I finally settled on storing them by destination. So I have "Hawaii" with water shoes & waterproof neck pouch, "Cruise" with lanyard, sea sick bands, "Europe" with chargers, passport holder, and "all trips" for the things that always go with me. It took me years to figure this out but I finally found a solution that works for me. Happy Decluttering!

I have to say this was sooo fun to watch…. It felt like opening a treasure chest of old goodie’s lol 😆 I always wonder why I organize and pack stuff up and what was I thinking when I reorganize and realize that I didn’t need about 80% of the things I stored! I love when you do these. It helps me to decide what keep and what not to. I have started to buy things that I only use when I travel that way I can keep them all together. I was raised to save plastic bags too. It’s so satisfying to get rid of things. I love it.

Enjoyed this video so much!! When Target was in Canada, I was thrilled when I found the Orla Kiely bags that you would feature in your videos. At the time, you were using the orange OK zippered bag as a “travel pharmacy” and I still use it for that purpose to this day😀. Was a bit sad when you let them all go😢

Don't bin ALL those pouches, I'm sure your children would like some of them or you could repurpose some of them as pencil cases/for those travel toys etc, get rid of the ziploc bags of travel toys. And the teeny purple one would be perfect for your daughter in her school bag or whatever for hair clips and bobbins etc.

It really is crazy to see how much stuff is influenced by RU-vid. I remember you really enjoyed Tiffany D?? If I’m remembering correctly and she (along with all the other beauty RU-vidrs) seemed to be obsessed with Henri Bendel. I never went into that store but I remember being shocked that it closed down. I love seeing your evolution, since I’ve been here, since the beginning 🌈 I’m preparing for another out of state move early next year and I’ve already started the decluttering process…it’s absolutely overwhelming, which is why I have to do it in small sections.

Kudos to you for the decluttering! Suggestion on donating, those high end name brands are not likely going to anyone needy unless you give them yourself. Most thrifting places go through and take out good condition items for themselves. Maybe sell online and give profits ect. And don’t give to goodwill ect. Look at salary of their CEO!!

I just did a clear out of my travel gear. The idea of it being readily available is a good idea though. I may have to repurpose a drawer in my closet rather than a heavy bin. Thanks for the inspiration.
