I go to a Timeshare that has WiFi. You bring up a webpage and enter a code now you have WiFi on that device. How would I use a travel router for that type of a situation?
@@n1kkri That sounds like a captive portal page just like a hotel wifi network. Travel router would still be able to connect to the wifi through that page. I do it all the time with captive portal pages with no issues.
@@n1kkri You would first have to install an iptv player like Tivimate. Lots of videos on RU-vid showing how to install that which plays iptv subscriptions.
@@n1kkri my bad got two different replies regarding internet from different threads. Basically you have to set the home router as a Wireguard VPN server (easy to do). Like another GL Inet router or like an ASUS router that has Wireguard or openvpn built into it. You create a configuration file and export it to a saved folder you can access. I send mine to dropbox because i have that on my computer and phone so i can send the configuration file to my phone and then to my travel router. Import the vpn configuration file to the travel router and turn on the vpn function as a client (not server mode). It asks to import your configuration file. Import it as aked and boom looks like you are at home no matter where you are in the world. I can probably do this procedure in about 5-10 minutes now that i have done it a number of times.
