All the hot springs in the Eastern Sierra clothing is optional. Death Valley too. I've been all over the back country of Death Valley, some days the wind can blow like a Hollywood hooker. Some days it's dead silent and the silence is amazing. I travel alone, I catered only to myself, no passengers.
On my travels up I always bring Copper Top BBQ fat tamales, my avocados, big bags of Mexican bread, and other food love not readily available up there. They feed me on my way up, and they feed me on my way home. They kick me down free gear and food. Do the same and they'll take care of you.
My husband and my daughter and I have been going for the last 7 years and my inlaws have been going for many many years there used to be signs saying clothing optional .saline valley is a nice place and when the jets fly over its even cooler
I have been here once. There are actually an upper and lower springs. The lower springs has hot and cold and is in the big grove by that nice bathroom. Rumor has it if you walk out from the bathroom to the west about 50 yards there is a hot spot for cell. I never found it. But my txts worked. What more could you want? There are multiple pools. The upper ones dont have many trees. I walked around a little. Camped overnite. Used a pool in the main grove that was cooler AND designated clothing. Since it was 85 in April and I come from colder Reno, I did not want 100F water nor the 10:1 sex ratio in the main pool. Maybe another time. This is not a family place unless your nudists. Its maintained the way you described by a old nudist guy and some other hypee types. The place would not exist if not for thier efforts, and its basically free. I left a donation.
