TRAVEL TO CHINA FROM SINGAPORE - Departure day and our first day in Chengdu

Upon arrival in Chengdu, we waste no time and head straight to our hotel. With only a few hours before sunset, we explore the beautiful People’s Park, reminiscent of the Chinese Gardens in Singapore but with its own unique charm. Witness the bustling atmosphere of locals enjoying their tea while having their ears cleaned, a fascinating cultural practice.
As hunger sets in, we venture to Kuanzhai Alley, hoping to find some delicious snacks. Although we didn’t find what we were looking for, we stumbled upon a delightful hot pot restaurant. Indulge in the flavors of hot pot and savor the deep-fried thin pork loin. After dinner, we take a romantic stroll along the river, immersing ourselves in the vibrant lights and the enchanting ancient bridge.
Reflecting on our short time in Chengdu, we realize that one day is not enough to fully experience the city’s lively nightlife. However, we look forward to our next adventure, visiting the renowned pandas that Chengdu is famous for. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from our trip to China.
