You absolutely cannot go wrong with a Camel Travelers!! Once you start using that thin paper, you'll start loving it! As it fills up with writing it gets the coolest texture and crinkle, and that paper takes watercolors amazingly. And fiddling with all the inserts, we all do it and it's awesome once you find your 'perfect' setup.

I've used jewelry charms from craft stores as charms. They often come with a lobster claw to just attach to the closure stringg.

I also got a passport to use as a wallet, in the camel color! I'm saving up for a Galen Leather order of wallet inserts and folios. My two notebook inserts will be a yearly overview insert that I'm going to make myself, with monthlies and some yearly collections, and then a dot grid insert as my "inbox" so I can jot things down quickly and not have to worry about where they're supposed to go.

I think the inserts are fitting strange because the wallet insert is only meant to go around one insert, not three, so I would only put it around the first insert. It would mean the zipper pouch wouldn't be in the back, but I feel like it should still be easy to access it since you do it from the side.

Lol ❤️ I jumped got a passport TN as well. I'm loving it. I collaged the inserts in a floral vintage and use it for inspirational quotes, gratitude etc. My little bit of journal therapy. Goes with me everywhere. Oh and yesssss love love the thin paper insert. My fave❣️

Lovely. I Always set the smallest notebook in the middle that really helps to well organize it. Then the clear pocket I would put zip to the back. Love the yellow card pocket, set that one lastly. The color is nice. I played around with mine couple times until I was happy 😊. Thanks for sharing.

Love your passport planner. I am sure you will make it work. I too love my planners chunky. The inserts are really cool. Congratulations to your daughter on the tea towel design, very nice. I hope the celebration is shown over here in the US but who knows. I think I will get something a little larger for myself but love your ideas no matter what.

I used matching Washi tape to hold my pen loops in for years, until I got my hands on a tool that puts studs in. Then I got a piece of leather and made my own loop and attached it to my Passport planner. That worked well for me for a couple of years, but now I use a piece of 2cm elastic for a closure with leather sewn over the top, and slip my pens under the leather.....the elastic allows it to accommodate any size pen. Love your Passport in Camel (I have 2 of these - love 'em) and I know you'll have many fun years together.

You can put the clear folder inside the pocket of your craft folder when you get it and the clear folder can hold receipts and such for you to use later on to journal with!

For your pen I use a bookaroo glasses magnetic clip from amazon they are brilliant. Pop it on the front cover at the top it only holds the pen clip in the slot not the whole pen but its brilliant doesn't damage the leather and easily moved from planner to planner. 💜

Hi, I liked watching your progress with the new passport TN... As for where to put your pen, I like to attach mine next to the spine right over the cover... That way you don't have to move it each time you get into your TN... Good Luck.

I wouldn’t stick anything to the leather as others have said it leaves a sticky residue if they try to remove it or if it falls off. I place my notebooks under both of the strings in the middle so that everything stays tight and I have one of the Galen leather wallet insets for my cards and coins and it also has a pen loop.

U can put the extra string from the cover though the small hole at the end of the folder! Then it will stay attached

So the notepad you have does not have a middle but I think the string is meant to go in the front cover and should sit nicely along the side of the binding that keeps the pages together. They might fit a little better... :) Just a thought. Thank you for sharing this. I now want to set up a pocket or personal TN. I have had my eyes on the Field Notes notebooks. They have beautiful covers.

FINE! I got a Camel Narrow and I LOVE IT but this year am using an A6 Hobonichi. But I keep carrying the Narrow TN all over the house with me. I REALLY love it. The pen loop I got kept slipping, so I put a TINY dab of superglue on it and it stays now. I love it. So FINE! I’ll switch things up and use my TN.

Oh-and on the overhang, I added the sticky lace stuff so it’s pretty. And on the lightweight paper, if you write on the other side the ghosting is barely noticeable.

The little folder does have a hole in the bottom, so you could put the bookmark through it!

There should be a hole in the bottom of the clear folder. I have seen some people thread the knot of the bookmark through the hole, so it is attached to the bookmark. Hope that makes sense.

Dearest, mine is on the way, setting it up next week. That folder that you don’t know how to use - you string your bookmark through it - it sits between two of your inserts - the folder has a wee little whole at the bottom where you string the bookmark through. Just pull on the bookmark (towards the spine) to line it up properly. I’m Afrikaans speaking, trying to find the words. 🙈
