Chuck, you should get a stipend from the Thai Ministry of Travel. You do a supreme job of making me wish I could be there "instantly". I have family and friends there, and miss them dearly. Thanks for your posting. Makes me homesick.

That town is Khemarat. On the Meekong River. That where my partner's family is from. Been there a few times. Like it there alot. Yes they do have a very good Saturday walking street market. Plenty of street food, drinks and music.

Fun video. In the US the black Pepsi can is a Pepsi Max and is the same as a Coke Zero I believe. So the refreshment stand is within the temple grounds? Time to get the SUV back in the shop for an alignment! No bad days. Cheers🤙

Where are you from? I’m from Unbon Thailand, but I come living in USA from 25 years. In 2022 my husband and I will move to Thailand in my hometown is in Sirindhorn Dam Ubon. The napkin was a big clue, no roll of TP. Curious, can you use the maps on the phone. I haven't driven away from the Surin area when I drive there. Like maybe 30 or 40 mile away has been my limit. The cat can have all of my squid. Bring the road crew. Driving school car is like Nascar, rubbin is racin🤔😳

Top o the morning to ya……I guess first I’ll say the temple chanting music and the really light blue skies in the background are very serene and calming for me, as I sip my morning coffee. My favorite part of this video. Ok… and I’d like to say (and this isn’t anything you don’t know already) that “human nature” is complicated and probably because there are so many different personality types. And some types can be super sensitive. Jordan Peterson is a very well read and well published individual who knows a lot about life in general, maybe you’ve heard of him. And in some ways, Chuck, you are a bit like him, especially when it comes to his critics that dislike him or disagree and verbally attack him, publicly at times. I think it’s part of everyone’s life, to have those experiences when you can’t please everyone and some let you know their disappointment , especially when you have reached the “celebrity status” as you have, my friend. And you handle it well. And for me to mention you in the same sentence with Jordan proves your status. And look at the way Joe Rogan is being verbally attacked by the fake news media and others because of his common sense. So….. just, with all that said, thank you for sharing your everyday experiences and thank you for your openness and honesty…c u on the next one…..:-)) I relate a lot to the 70 year old girls you run with. Remember, we have 30 year old minds in those old bodies….:-))

Nice trip, Chuck. I really enjoyed it and I hope the ladies did too. One of the best parts of the trip, I thought, was the music that was played just before you went to the temple. It was led by a female singer singing in Thai I believe. Anyway, it was beautifully melodic and comforting. It just goes to show you that you don't always have to understand the lyrics or words to appreciate a really good tune. Don't worry Chuck, I don't think that our paths will ever cross, but if they do, I won't put a great deal of pressure on you that we meet. For such a relaxed guy, you are one of the busiest people I know of.

Hey Chuck and Paige and all the Mafia gang, great video. That guy that got his nose bent out of shape because you didn't accommodate him and go out of your way just for him. What an ass. I feel very fortunate that I showed up on a Sunday and got to visit with everyone on Sunday Funnday. I guess people see you walking around town and think thats all you do. You have a life too. That room with the merrill's on the walls was beautiful. My dad was good with a brush and paint. In my parents room he painted an island scene and it was beautiful. I will always remember that. It's one of those things that your brain takes a pitcher of and it never goes away. You invested your day with the Mafia and they are happy so now you can go on your trip. I'm sure you will have to do the same when you come back. Lol
