Its just been pointed out to me that our lovely coach is in this video. Its the big white one with a VW sign on the front and red wheel hubs. Nice one. Great memories. :-) x
Hard to believe saying it 40 years on but it was actually a golden age. People had the means and if you nice to people then things were easily sorted. Speaking personally I can see things going back that way...although at 66 it's not as quite the same as it was at 24.
Interesting to realise that these vehicles would be exempt from road tax and MOT today as they would fall under the Historic vehicle rules. But a Bedford Duple is going to cost a lot more than £500 nowadays.
great vid, thanks...Is this way of life even viable today? I have strong urges again to get a bus...even if i am getting old! Can we not use the interweb to organise a gathering of around 20,000 people to squat at Stonehenge next year? Surely they could not use such disgusting violence so much now, with all the cameras everywhere, & people's rights being more prevalent? (supposedly). Brings a tear to my eye to think what we have lost. I miss those days so much. Where did everyone go?
