When you mentioned about Bali, now Phuket has become same like Bali, expensive, ruled by europeans that do whatever they want, crazy traffic and prices so high.
Kiia, the very last RU-vidr and Tik- Tok vlogger you mentioned at the end, is one of those vloggers that brings problems to Thailand. She didn't pay rent after her landlord gave her a job. Damaged and destroyed a hair salon in a violent fit of rage. . Her videos portrayed arrogance and selfishness. She has officially been criminally charged and is being deported from Thailand. Good.
Very good video. I started following Travis on Instagram a month ago and his posts are consistently useful & fun. The interview here confirmed that he is a good guy, generous with solid advice and zero arrogance about living as a foreigner in Thailand. Really enjoying these interviews.
Great interview! I’m from Los Angeles and went w some buddies to Bangkok and Pattaya . Dropped $4k USD for my 2 week trip. and had the timeout my life I’ll be back in October and November . Need to hit Phuket!
Nice ep, a lot of good info. I know it's similar topics maybe but if you know a digital nomad who often stays in Thailand that could be a lot of valuable info. Like how does it work, how to do that legally without ending up in thai jail (which is NO FUN), work permits on short stay around a month, taxes, coworking/tech spaces in BKK like the True Digital Park (which blew my mind). Not trying to tell you how to live your life, but your content about living in BKK is great and maybe you will find that idea interesting (and I would get good knowledge from the video :D)
Not sure how it is if you're running a business in Thailand but in Europe and the US lots of influencers got in trouble with barter deals. Basically you need to calculate the value of the service/product you got for free and then... pay tax on that. So despite not getting actual money you pay actual money which can't quite work out.
We have a law in Poland that in some cases if you get a christmas gift bag from a company it has to be taxed... One of the reason that jobs are becoming miserable, you can't even do something nice for employees without shitton of bureaucracy. The governments wants their hands in all of the cookie jars
@OneNightinBangkok_ wouldn't the work permit need to specifically list the social media work you are doing which is unlikely to get as an individual so would require you to set up a company with Thai employees. Some people seem to think you can get a work permit for anything, and then work doing something unrelated like social media.
Because she just did an entirely different episode right before this Thai Girls Talk DATING & RELATIONSHIPS in Bangkok | One Night in Bangkok Ep. 015 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_x1t_lnrwMQ.html
Wow he seems like a great guy. I loved it when he mentioned Gary Vee, since I follow him for the longest time as well. By the way, @travisleon1, no affiliate link for Eric?
Yea he is 👍 I also follow Gary Vee so that was cool to hear. And no need for an affiliate link, he didn’t even ask me to post this. I just wanted to share in case anyone was interested.
