Astroworld aged really well. Still sounds fresh to this day minus a few tracks later into the album.

R.I.P Screw is my favourite and i dont see anyone else mention it. Its a great song to just close your eyes to with headphones on.

Album is a strong 9 with mad replay value!

Coffee bean is supposed to be simplistic in my opinion. Idc that his vocals may seem “weak” in this song, due to the fact that Travis is showing vulnerability. He seems to just be getting his thoughts out, talking about divorce, the struggles he may have about his relationship with Kylie, the fact that his rapper persona may give off negative vibes, and all in all just stating how he’s feeling. The title of the song also contributes to how he is feeling. I think of it as like he is sitting down with someone in a coffee shop and just letting his feelings fly. The layered sounds and melody of the track remind me of background music that is played in some little store or restaurant.

Astroworld is one of those albums you can keep going back to and listen and it keeps getting better, unlike some albums that have released recently *cough* Scorpion *cough*

Orange flannel when an album is a 7, cause it's not as good for a yellow flannel, you can read more about it on the theory of color flannels.

When I first listened to Astroworld I thought it was ok. But after coming back to it and listening to it over and over again I must say it gets better and better. The Album gets better with time, atleast for me...

Houstonforncation is one of the best tracks on Astroworld. Fantano tripping

This album aged so beautifully. I can safely say it’s one of my favourites of all time.

Drake's verse at 7:07 is a play off Famous Dex's song "Japan". Lyrics "I just popped a xan, fifty thousand in Japan" vs "half a xan, thirteen hours til I land".

The Melon is gonna give the next couple of albums a 7 due to the Butterfly Effect

Houstonfornication is my fave song off astroworld… the bass line is insane. The way it interacts with that synth melody in the upper register slays me; omg. Oh Lord… it’s just beautiful. And that progression (iii-IV-ii) has my heart. He doesn’t need to do much but ride the beat. Essentially, the melodies provided by the beat, and the very active bass line make his melodies seem like countermelodies (to me). They interact so beautifully with everything else but he keeps them fairly simple. Lots of drones, and repeated phrases that add some interesting tones to the harmonic motion. It’s just a masterpiece… ugh 🥺. And the tritone leap in that upper synth??? I think that’s what hooked me. It’s magical.. bruh. Anything that hints at lydian, has my heart (though overall I get Phrygian vibes with some lydian overtones).

This album got alot of artistic merit. It is not a stereotypical trap rap album.

He teased us with that red flannel and surprised us with the orange flannel.

We’ve cracked the code, the orange flannel is 6-7/10 confirmed canon

When he said after 5% the album goes downhill I was so shocked. Astrothunder, Yosemite, can’t say, butterfly effect, Houston fornication and coffe bean are for me the best songs in the whole album

That “who put this s**t together? I’m the glue” line still gives me goosebumps because he was really the artist that is trying to put the pop rap and trap genre literally back together
