When are people gonna realise that autotune, in this context, isn’t used to make up for bad singing, it’s to create a certain effect and sound for the song as a whole
I understand what your are saying but in this particular instance he is getting offkey a few times and he is getting raspy at one time too so I’d say style effect and tonal correction are both in the equation here.

@@lamarswift1361 they have impeccable timing and some sense of melody, but their voices are ass. Without modern musical engineering, they wouldn’t make it in the industry. At least not in any genuinely impactful way. Auto-tune made these guys. I’m not hating, because I love both of their music, but I wouldn’t call them extraordinary talented musicians.
@@GHotSauceAnd1 They definitely are talented musicians, they both invented their own sound with the tools they had, Travis’ vision and ability to put together cohesive tracks is unparalleled and is really only something we’ve seen from guys like Kanye. You can say if they were born earlier they wouldn’t make it, sure, but if Louis Armstrong were born today, do you think he would have been nearly as influential without the roaring 20s or Jazz Age? If Bach was born today he would be representing a near-dead brand of music and probably would be a niche artist barely anyone knew about.

If its about autotune, every Song is run with it, its just about the settings, to make it either natural/Robotic, wavy/vibey, crunchy/smooth. Even t-pain said that his Songs are Produced simpler than most Songs though his vocals sound like they full of effects. I don't understand why people talk when they got no idea
he perfected auto tune though he became a master. meanwhile there's people using auto tune too but they still sound terrible so it's the talent and ideas that's the difference
@@ly4riels when autotune corrects the pitch it also needs to stretch the vocals/audio to have it stay the same length. It does some pretty complicated calculations for this.
@@oichrismith that’s not true the first autotune vocals ever recorded was 1998, pitch correction for instruments and sampling/synths maybe but Cher and Lenny kravits did it first a little over 23 years ago

He's putting out notes that are not even notes, like somewhere to the side of a real note. There's a cricket in my garden that's singing sweeter than Travis and earlier heard a cat howling in the night loud but it was right on key. Poor Travis, fatal shot, slowly bleeding to death, hunters following behind anticipating the inevitable.
Travis is a master at auto tune, he knows how to use his voice and what pitch to use to create certain effects for the auto tune. Remember Trav uses it as an instrument and way to boost the vibe it's harder for him to use
Anyone can be as famous, all you need is some adlibs, some auto tune, a vision for creating new sounds, industry connections, a dope lifestyle to talk about, good taste, a good voice, knowledge on producing, ties to Kanye west, a lot of luck, some controversy to get your name out there and a good team to deal with that controversy and there’s about a 15% chance of making it to the big leagues.
everybody be hating, the thing is, to sound good with autotune and without autotune is two different things. he’s not recording his voice like this, and then the producer does the magic. he sounds like this on purpose so the autotune can sound the way it does. but ain’t nobody understanding that
Youre suggesting he contrived to make these unholy wimperings to enhance the auto-tune? Its all deliberate. He *knew* to do the second bar several tones out of tune, the third in different inconsistent keys merging into a tuneless squeek...all for the benifit of the autotune!? His 'imperfection' (to put it mildly) is just creating a more hellish amount of work for his producets.

The more you rely on auto tune means you are just shit. Haven’t heard of him doing freestyle or normal rapping, doubt him if he still can do. He would be working in a warehouse if auto tune wasn’t invented
@@3llipsis181 Rodeo is quite literally a masterpiece. It's considered by many the greatest trap album ever. And, yes, most people do sound better (not necessarily good, just better) with auto tune and for that exact reason to say that auto tune is the only reason Travis is popular/successful would be a blatant lie.
