Yeah, no. I love Luke Bryan, and love this version as well as the original release. I'm just finishing a biography about Johnny Cash. He was one complex guy. It's all "real" country in mind. Does it tell a story? Can I relate to it? That's Country for me.
I’ve been a hard rock /metal fan all my life....there were some country songs I knew of and enjoyed to some degree but You’d never see me at a country show.....the one day a friend gave me a couple of tickets to this guys show. Best damn show I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to quite a few) ....it opened up new doors in the country genre.....thanks Travis

I met Johnny Cash in 1993 at Wal-Mart...He was so nice, I got his autograph and in 2015 I had it inked on my forearm.....Thank you Travis that was beautiful 💙

Oh Travis Tritt is so freakin talented. And he picks so good. No band needed. Him and Dwight Yoakam both you could sit for hours listening to both as they sing and strum on the guitar

This has been my favorite song since I was 11 years old and this is the best cover of it I've ever heard. Was fortunate to meet Johnny Cash many times over 36 years and feel he would say the same. Saw Travis perform it live at the Johnny Cash Memorial at the Ryman in Nov., 2003 and it was the best performance of the show.
This is a fantastic cover. Tritt's voice is so strong and he is a very, very underrated guitar player. The dude can flat play. I have grown in my appreciation for Travis both as an artist and a human being since the 90's. I saw him live a couple of years ago in my neighborhood in Colorado, He is a real stand up guy. This is country. Anything in the later 2000's by all of these newer artists is fake.
Awesome version! I grew up a few miles south of you and have always loved your music. A sign of a true entertainer is when you can capture the hearts of everyone in the room with just you and your guitar. You mastered it. Love you bro. Keep it real until you get back on the road.

My life’s dream is to be able to play with Travis one day I’ve seen 7 of his shows and grew up on his music god bless u Travis my idol thanks for always amazing music
