As a racer who comes down to big dog 2/3 times a yr for the oval, you should compare the bandit to say a street stock built bandit, where the body downforce isn’t as much as a sprint car. I’d be curious about that outcome
Perhaps some like the looks. just curious...why the bandit chassis? why not associated or losi...or....anything else. was it like the slash(stock class).
I surprised you haven’t ventured into RC drifting. Because there is no “best chassis”, tuning, chassis layouts, weight distribution and electronic options are endless. It’s really a run what you brung and try to hang with the boys lol
Probably if you put 20gr at the front off the bandit comes even closer. I'm guessing there is a small weight diffence between the cars. Interesting comparison, i question such thing myself too...
Ha ha cool stuff. It would be interesting to see that Sprintcar with a locked diff and a larger outer wheel on the rear, and possibly more tow out up front. The real ones have a set up something like that. That front wing really helped with the handling/
Fastest bandit Sprint's are running mid 4 second laps, record is 4.2, If you do it again you should be able to drop the bandit body on the Sprint chassis and test with and without the front wing. Front wings were big on the OffRoad for awhile, not sure why they aren't as popular?
well i can see you are a newb to turning left lol. even tho i do both offroad and oval i have more time turning left then jumping. we did this test a couple months ago here with a associated sr10 dirt oval car with stock body and a late model body on the same car and with the late model body we got 8-10 more laps every time in a full day of testing
it was plenty entertaining. i think you should redo it with the same chassis. Im not a believer its just the body. or you felt so cool it was fast Edit: I would be more interested in average lap time over 5 good laps then just the perfect hero lap Edit Edit: weight em, i bet the sprint is 5% heavier Edit edit edit; hi mom
