We have been aiming to upgrade the Bandit xl-5 for a while now. The Bandit is one of the top performing ready to run buggies you can get right out of the box.
But when the upgrade itch hits, Traxxas makes things easier than most.
Traxxas does make a brushless Bandit. But if you already have the xl-5 model and have discovered that you just can't stop the need for speed, a Velineon brushless upgrade may be the fix you're looking for!!! :)
