Do you know when you should replace the engine bearings? I’m not sure if my rear one is going out, I heard of people blowing holes through their crank cases because of bad rear bearings
Another awesome vid bro!, do you know who makes the AE 15 motor? Are there comparable parts for that piston and sleeve, connecting rod so on and so on does the connecting rod have two holes ? if I drill a hole should you chamfer it? Thanks bro from bucks county PA
Hey the Team Associated 15 is made by thunder tiger I'm pretty sure if you search those 2 on eBay you could probly find the parts and I believe the ae engines already have 2 oiling holes mostly all engines do Traxxas just like to cheap out on their engines if you are dealing with a pro 15 A little bit of chamferings at the top eye of the connecting rod and a teeny tiny little oil whole makes a big difference in connecting rod life
thebug 404 sweet I’ll look into that. I wish team associated would just bring back this truck. I feel personally violated when I buy on eBay lol so f n overpriced thanks again bro! Fink nitro as big Ed daddy Roth would say !
@@martytoorop5542 I totally agree with you there the prices here in Canada are unbelievably expensive for things it could be $2 for 1 part and $60 shipping or that part if you can get at the hobby shop is $5 some idiot was $35 piss me off
I struggle getting those clips out of the bottom of shocks! Couldn’t imagine fussing with a clip on an engine lol 😂 Also, do you recommend running a throttle return spring, mine doesn’t really make the throttle come back
Derrick Zanni do you have a suggestion on how to set up a trs on a RC10GT mine doesn’t really doesn’t pull the throttle back, while on my 1/8 buggy a rubber band can pull it back
man .15 engines are so small... I worked on one a while back, I thought it wasn't a nitro engine at first when I saw the size of the hole where the air filter goes onto.
@@thebug4046 Thank you for the info ...the one major thing that ive noticed is the oil hole is at the bottom im not sure how that will effect it I havnt been into rc engines to long only motorcycle engines and car engines are my specialty...
@@rickwest9563 Yeah they did change where they put the oil hole I don't know exactly why that is but I have the same rod in the few entrances that haven't had any issues
@@thebug4046 ok cool i rebuilt my pro 15 and i have hesitated in running it due to that reason but should ease me alittle ...Id be so mad if that tiny little connecting rod snapped and that tiny little piston hit me in the face id smash it to dust rofl...
@@rickwest9563 Just take it easy with it give it some preheat and a nice slow break in it'll be fine I run the living daylights on a mine with the same rod that hasn't ever been an issue. KBN!
another great vid as always i got some your subscribers coming over to sub to me say ya sent them over tnx bro appreciate you passing my channel allong
