that is AWESOME- I would never do it with my trucks- did heavy mud and water ONCE- two years later and I'm still cleaning up that mess. I'm gonna stick to dry, dust and grass are easy to clean up :)
These videos are awesome to watch. Makes you want to go out and try. XMAXX flying across the water is amazing. But I've got well over $1000 in that damn truck. I have a rustler 4x4, but I have well over 2 grand in it. So I think I'll just sit and watch other people be cool. I do want a few sets of paddle tires though no doubt.
You don’t just need a 3 cell, but you also need to drop the spur and up the pinion. You need to carry a lot of wheel speed for that, and possibly kick in a 4 cell. The motor will take it I’m not sure on the spec of the esc
Nice attempt mate. I have done with my rustler, just had all stock wheels&tyres 2wd vxl rustler on 3s and thing could still pull wheelies on water. Haven't tried with my 1/8 scale oversized Proline Badlands, added weight but also crazy speeds and heaps better for impacts. Avagud1
It was the gearing in it that made it slow. It’s a 4s hobby wing System so it’s got plenty of power. We just got the Rustler and we were experimenting with the gearing
Your pinon and spur mesh is wayyyyy too tight on that Rustler. Loosen it up until it doesn't have that loud whine anymore. You'll notice a big difference in power.
The car is stock in the video. The Traxxas velineon system which comes stock, in my opinion, is better than the dynamite system I had in it. I think the tires are too big and expand too much. New video coming soon stay tuned!!!🔥🔥
