You can't kill the T-Maxx's 2-speed BABY! Anyway, for a 2.5 model it runs very well and your tune is great too. Id say the 150 including shipping is a great deal. Almost always these nitros have seized engine due to gummed up oil inside as yours did. Consider it luck, cause it has preserved the motor from further damage by the NOOB who owned it before, lol.
First let me just say when you explained the truth about the 2.5 VS the 2.5R motor I already knew you were a 100% nitro guru!! Yes the original Revo 2.5R came with that blue cooling head, I had it brand new. Same motor otherwise.
Thank you!! Yes the engines are the same. I don't know why Traxxas doesn't make the engine one way. I guess they do it to confuse people to think they are different to make money. Thank for watching bro!
@@rcshowoff5427 The 2.5R blue head engine was in the Revo when it first came out, it was considered their flagship model. The Tmaxx, jato, nitro rustled from the same Era had the silver head 2.5 engine. No difference between the two as you know. Kind of like a up trim thing from a regular Corvette to a Z06. Got yourself a good deal brother! 👍
What’s up RC show off hey I got a 2.5 engine on eBay for around 25 bucks it said it was seized and yep it was seized But it was also gummed up but I just put it in my oven and boom turned over quite easy. Like the video👍🏻
Hey Hows it going!! Thats great $25.. I think most of the time people dont have the knowledge and think its broken. Then sell them. Thats good for us RC guys.
Great deal man i just seen it's a old video but nice body on it, i bought a t Maxx complete with bad motor and a extra one for parts almost complete minus the motor both for $150 running great now😊
Bro, you scored pretty good. Those custom bodies alone go for a good amount but with the clean chassis that is already a win Even more that you salvaged the engine and is running pretty amazing. Way to bro. 👏 👏. Feels good when a deal works out sweet. 👍 happy 4th wkend!!.
I only buy my RCs used on ebay! Specifically TMaxxes in states of disrepair and I brushless swap them. The engines are always savagable. I've never been let down by one!
Surprisingly for the engine being locked up it still has some power. I have one more video I'm working on then after that I'll run the Jato. Thanks for watching!!!
