Looks like your in need of some serious steering adjustments. Having a hell of a time keeping it straight. Was funny watching you run it in training mode and not realizing it. I just ordered that car tonight! Cannot wait to get it. If I wanted speed, I'd have bought the E-Revo 2.0. I almost did, but I really like the details of this truck and feel over the Revo. Perhaps in the future it the revo will be in it! Good and fun video, sir! :)
I was just thinking the same thing as soon as i first saw his runs up and down the street. Reset thhe esc to racemode. You will be very impressed on the diference it will make
Also I'd like to add I've used some of those GPS speed apps and they register a bit late, like you have to sustain that speed for a while for it to show
Lol training mode nice truck I think the issue also Is you need a higher discharge rate like 60/75c to kick it in the ass.. others are getting 50mph all day long in stock gearing but running higher C’s on battery packs. Mine I haven’t ran it yet no time 😳 lol
hey man. do you really think C rating matters in distance . I was thinking he didn't have a long enough run so the GPS wasn't measuring the true speed. I thought that C rating is the "holeshot burst" and it didn't affect top speed, just "off the line".
good luck with it dude. I don't care what people say, I think Traxxas makes THE toughest RC's on the market. I love my Slash 4x4, had it about a year now and haven't broke anything yet. I don't try to purposely break it but I'm not easy on it either
Yes I do! After two years of trial and error, I’ve found that the truck works best on loose ground and if you’re going to run on hard surfaces, I would recommend either changing the tires for something less aggressive or being prepared to walk to the truck to flip it back over. Bottom line, the truck was designed as a desert racer meant for loose terrain and not really for pavement or bashing for that matter. I love the truck and have become accustomed to its handling characteristics. Thank you for watching and happy RC-ing!
I think if you gave it a longer run and it could hold the top speed for a bit the GPS would have time to read the true speed. I think you get to top speed then hit the brakes it wont read the true top speed
Mine on 6s would simply lift the front tyres off the ground, no matter at what speed I press full throttle, let's say at 30mph I apply full throttle, it will just lift front tyres off the ground and crash on touchdown. Control ON or OFF same. Top speed is way over 50mph, probably within 60mph. Way too much power and grip on asphalt. I use it on 50 percent on asphalt.
@@suzukijoe1 Thank you man I have some 3S 4200 mah, 30C Are Li-Fe but should work Works fantastic in the Traxxas TRX4 I will use in training mode anyway Too fast for me in sport
It didn’t sound like you ever truly got to full top speed to me. I ran mine on 6s with junk traxxas 5000mah 25c lipo’s and got 48.8 with a Garmin GPS. Then I switched to MaxAmps 6000xl 100c packs and got 54.9 with stock gearing plus a 25+min run time. I can’t say or see that you were doing anything wrong other than maybe not holding her at full throttle long enough.
I know this video is old, but most of your issues are the way GPS works on phones is highly inaccurate in short distances.. there are cheap $30 bike GNSS speedometers that are far more accurate for such a short distance.
Angel Cooper it came in sport mode, I actually forgot that I changed it during my last track run. When I said straight out of the box, I meant that as in I had not made any gear changes. Thanks for watching!
By the way that doesn’t make sense did Traxxas mess up on their gearing speed chart ! ?...... the gearing on 40+ claim should be a 50 + gear setup and the 50+ claim should be swapped with the 40+ which is bullshit.
Morfeo Phantasm Ahh not bad it’s alittle bigger then a big Traxxas E Revo that’s for sure. Doesn’t have the same e Revo wheelbase width but the length is alittle longer. I believe this is a 1/7th scale sct. My two slash’s are supposed to be 1/10th but they look just about 1/8th next to my big e Revo which in my opinion I can also safely consider 1/8th without people getting mad lol. There is no way the 1/10th claim on the big e revos are actually 1/10 scale whether it is the newest updated 2.0 or the previous 1.0 version that I still own lol. Xmaxx for sure is a true 1/6th. Other companies like TLR and HPI make bigger models then traxxas does not. They go up to 1/5th and I also believe 1/4th but I could be wrong.
@@gorillabeartech4577 1/5th outta be big enough lol I really want a UDR with OBA ! I have a trx4 Bronco and Redcat Scout II they are both awesome scale crawler/trail rigs .. I "need" something to go blast with now and then haha ; ) love the scale details on the udr
Morfeo Phantasm For me I only crave anything above 35 mph. 15-30 mph is slow for me...... I need atleast 43 mph minimum to have fun with Rc cars man. Crawling is too slow lol.
