Nice comparison. I've had the Max. Good little truck, but if I could only have one or had to buy either one again, for me personally it would be the Xmaxx. I have a nice big park close to me, so I have room to run that big beast. The Xmaxx handles grass way better than too because of the ground clearance. I sold the Maxx.
@@RCKnockout don't tell anyone, but I had FOUR Xmaxx trucks at the same time 🤣. Now I have two of them running 1/5 electronics and other upgrades. One of them stays with my dad.
I have both and I love the x-maxx because it is a monster. If I bought one again and know what I do now I would just buy a Maxx. fun little truck and very durable.
I’ve had both and they are both very fun , but the xmaxx is a big investment, and the replacement parts are more expensive, especially tires and electronics.
Just got my widemaxx on but I gotta wait till Sunday to run it because one of the screw pins that hold the driveshaft on flew out yesterday 🙁. Things happen though that's just part of the hobby! Love the videos!
With out even watching the video hands down xmaxx I had the Maxx didn't care for it still a nice truck but I do prefer the erevo more when it comes too that scale but it is all personal preference now to enjoy the video
the minimaxx hands down for me. two for the price off one x. my daughter would show me if she not got one minimaxx 😁 also all my friends got 1:10 so the maxx works perfect in the group 🙂
Everyone has there own preference….the Maxx isn’t quite half the price but it is a really good rig once the wide maxx kit is installed….if 1/10th scale is what your friends have then that makes sense
@@RCKnockout yes, my maxx has the kit instaled runs much better. when i push it down it feels goofier then the stock one from my daughter so i think to change the oil.
Nice video. Local shop xmaxx is 999 and maxx is 569, 43% difference. Over 25yrs bashing at the point we're I'm about to give it up. Seems like there's always an issue, rarely can i just charge and drive... Maxx is gunna be my last try with a basher. I have a xmaxx it's awesome so much fun to drive when you have the room and it's working. Gravel pit by my cabin, holy crap 😳, it rips there. But my issues with the xmaxx you need room, cant drive near people or property that can be damaged. Constantly breaking, feel like i spend more time taking it apart and fixing than driving, I don't drive that hard. Cost, it's expensive all around, fix/replace parts.
I highly recommend the Maxx! It’s the most durable brushless truck I own…..aside from the driveshafts which are pretty weak….the only thing I’ve broken is one front C-Hub
I recommend the Tamiya Grasshopper, it only does 12mph so it's easy to handle, It can't do jumps because of the weak suspension, definitely can't take any knocks because of the weak design, so the idea is to just drive it in straight lines, best car ever made
Yeah…lol…..I can’t remember if I’ve bought anything for the most recent giveaway…usually I get shirts but I’ve been getting some automotive detail spray and some knives too
I going buy a maxx but seriously brotha those bush on bodies on the maxx don't like um prefer the four clips. Don't like my body falling off . Good video
Im in a debate on this right now. There is an xmaxx that needs a new steering servo used for $500 or buy a new maxx. Tempted to go to the larger one as its so cool but the batts are also a huge jump in cost as well. Double the batts, more expensive charger and more expensive repairs....... But its huuuuuuge😂
Personally I would probably pick the Maxx….its not gonna be quite as capable but it does seem to be more durable compared to the Xmaxx and you’d only need one battery pack for it
@@RCKnockout I appreciate the input, after further research it seems your opinion is shared. Repairs for the xmaxx are also more expensive and it's more likely to break with the extra weight to it 🤷
@@breakdown7153 yeah it’s capable of bigger jumps but it just isn’t as durable as the Maxx…I own a V1 and V2 Maxx….the only thing I’ve broken is one stock driveshaft on one of them and I beat up on them pretty good….I’ve broken quite a few things on my Xmaxx’s though
@@RCKnockout I ended up scoring the deal of the century from a guy who works on the road and can't travel with anything larger than his e revo. $900 got me the following in used but great condition: Maxx V2, Sledge, one two channel tqi control, Traxxas link module, 5 Traxxas 5000 3s batts, Traxxas ez peak dual charger, metal brushless servo for the sledge, extra tires for the sledge x2. Both run perfect the Sledge just needs a single tire changed and the replacement was provided ........ I'm fucking shocked and so stoked but it's pouring rain so heavy I don't want to stand in it 😂 With the sledge being as large and fast as it is I think the xmaxx is too big for my areas of use, the sledge with probably get less use then the Maxx v2 🤷. Thanks for the input! It was the right info for sure Also that was listed price, which was so low I didn't haggle at all. His Full size off road toys and boat were quite impressive.
I’m assuming there’s probably adapters available….I don’t have experience with those batteries but I’m sure an Xmaxx would be able to pop wheelies no problem….I try to buy batteries with the highest “C” rating that I can find……
Unless you have a very large private open area at your constant disposal the xmaxx is a waste of money, and alot of people dont take this into account before buying one… I know I didn’t, that’s why after a year I sold mine and bought a Maxx… I can drive it whenever and where ever I want
@@RCKnockout lucky man… lack of space wasn’t my only reason, my girlfriend was pregnant and money was tight.. a couple of years later I made a comeback with my Maxx and my drag slash.. love them both
Good comparison video, the only laughable part was the part about carrying a 20 lb. truck being difficult, I'm 60, and carry my 45 lb. Losi 5ive for a 1/4 mile to the track.
Yeah the Maxx is a tougher truck…..I’ve actually never had an issue with the plastic spur on the Maxx…..that’s even running it on 6s……I think the XMaxx needs 1.5 mod gears all the way around though…..then it would be an absolute tank!
@@RCKnockout yeah its pretty expensive here thats also the reason i bought the maxx instead of the xmaxx for arrma 8s trucks they go for around 1000 euro
