Being a former bmx guy and a current rc fan, I see both sides. Maintaining a bmx track is a tremendous amount of work. The :Rider" had shovels with him and was probably making erosion repairs.
Yes a private BMX track that hold races I see this a public state park that holds no events is not groomed as well ,I also ride Bmx weekly with my kid at the same park 👌💯
But in honesty the track gonna get messed up either way and I’m pretty sure multiple bikes riding weekly are gonna do more damage than 2 hours of a RC lol. I kinda understand if it was a park or happening in grass but it’s just dirt and gonna get ruined by people or the elements(rain) anyways
Great to see people come together over common interests. Cool guy at the end cancels out Ken at the beginning so you can go home feeling better about your time out enjoying the hobby.

Ok this is freaky. I was just there at the same exact track two days ago with my son and his first RC car and this video pops up in my feed. The phone is spying on me man. Also nice flips! The Ken part was a bummer. You handled it good. I was teaching my son about being respectful to others when running his RC car cause I can see people getting uptight over it easily if others with RC cars are disrespectful while ripping around. I did have that feeling of im at a bmx track so they trump me if they show up and want to use the track.

I know its wrong but some 50 year old bloke had a go at me recently. I know its wrong but being a ex bouncer and bare knuckle fighter my fuse is short. i actually chased and hit him with my spare wheel. He literally picked up my car and threw it to the ground. I've realised to just walk away now or ignore them because i cannot be arrested for using rc cars. I got in to this hobby from a dear friend who was shot dead roughly 5 years ago. Yep my life has been crazy but the hobby and kept me safe relaxed and focused.

This can't be recent footage of recent times because that boy approached with a "hello sir" the cop and everyone else seemed to enjoy watching this incredible environment that ibinly wish I could run a couple of my choice rigs at...absolutely awesome and positively unique terrain/trails/features... really seems to be a place you can really go get some exercise and some quality bashing done when people aren't more concerned with what they think should be going on more than their own business they should be minding and let others enjoy themselves as long as everyone is being cool and respectful (like it seemed all but 1 person was). Would love to see more running footage out at this spot Earl if possible please really cool that it's been created/maintained by those who use it/locals etc as well...good vibes for the most part. 🍻 Nice to see you and your boy out there getting it done too. I also raced bmx for a few years. No joke maintaining a track. I look at myself and my rc a visitor at any bike park. I try and stay invisible and still have fun. I would not want to cause someone to wreck!
Checked a local bike park, and signage says "...human powered bicycles only....no motorized vehicles". I try to not let things people do bring me down...sometimes easier said than done. ;)

my local skatepark got a sign that says no kickbikes alowed yet kids and parents had told in a hostile way me and my friends we cant run our rc cars in the park... well answer if the tone is set to hostile is most of the time it dont say we cant run rc cars but you and your kid cant scoot around on the kickbike in the park 😁 most of the other times we gone along just fine with other people if we use parts of the park and they got the other parts.
Right it gets me every-time I meet one do we really need to police people enjoying life 🤷🏻♂️ that’s what the real police are supposed to do ,and even they get it wrong most of the time 😱👍😎😎

I work for a park district. Parks are full of Ken’s and Karen’s who “own” the park and are happy to tell you what you can and cannot do. Don’t worry about them. I deal with them daily and the best thing you can do is politely ignore them and enjoy your recreation .

If you see this comment, I’m after some advice, Iv recently bought a proline tough black raptor body for my xmaxx , it comes pre cut and ready to fit , but my issue is , its not drilled for a roof skid or the rear bed skid , if I drill the body to fit said skids do you think it would weaken the tough body 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ I don’t want to drill it if it’s going to make it weaker 🤔🤔🤔

I found that last interaction so informative, you was very helpful. What’s the advantage of swapping out the stock esc to a max 6 esc? Trouble I have is I got the traxxas charger and batteries so presume the connection would change with a new esc?
You can use adapters, I don’t like to use them but if you really want to change out your esc that’s the way to go, you can buy traxxas id connectors and solder them onto the max 6 , but you need to know how to solder and what which connectors to buy!

I city bash which is parking lots, city parks or abandoned lots. Only complaints I get are from homeless trying to claim public areas. On a cool factor note, I was out testing my rebuilt typhon when a police officer was driving the same road and looked out his window and said punch it and we raced to the stop sign. Have a battery charging to go do more city bashing today.
Park Ken should mind his business1 ive met them at my local BMX track also Park rules do not say a thing about Rc Trucks. I just ignored and walked on but it did bother me the rest of my time there.
Be lucky u got that we have b ike park here but big ply wood signs that say no rc cars with cameras linked to local police and u will get destruction of property ticket if caught on it with rc .the thing is its all right 4 them but not alright 4 u to do it .if bike park is closed everybody needs to listen to the sign.every where i play its a problem 4 someone .get old .problems with dust rocks being thrown i was even told skate parks were not made 4 those toys to be used on them .great choice on color and on orange wheels .

After my mom had a stroke and signed our house to me, this guy came over nightly, telling me I had no right living there on my own because I'm disabled However, I took the trash out, the lawn got mowed etc. Then a Karen called 911 due to me outside, waiting for my ride to the hobby shop. I wanna explore my new area to see what new rc spots there are, but I'm afraid man.
I don’t blame you but finding a remote spot to run your rc cars alone might be a good way to get out and enjoy the life you have left ? Don’t let anyone take your freedom to have fun this hobby is a good way to enjoy something many other people also enjoy and maybe you’ll find a cool person to run with someday 🤷🏻♂️but it is a risk you’ll have to take if you want to .I would encourage this , appreciate the comment 🙏
I love when dog owners dogs not on leash. They talk trash . Park sign says dogs must be on leash. Then they say no motorized vehicles to me. Well last time I checked I don’t need to register my RC at DMV it a toy Most people love when we tire out thier dogs an kids
The walk from the car to the track is a fair distance. After bashing, do you carry it back or have a spare lipo to drive it back. Asking for a friend. 😂
I take my rc to the skate park and even when there is people. but I would always leave if too many people were there to respect that it isnt MEANT for rc cars meaning, I cant tell other people to get out of my way, I will just leave or move to the other side if I was in the way.
I just can't handle all the attention I get when I roll my RC's in public places. It is like some kind big deal to these people. I mean haven't you seen a grown man play with toys before? Yeesh.
I live 2 minutes from the spot I drive...Its a trail along the river that used to never have any people almost my back yard...Lived here all my life 40+ years...Few years ago they turned it into a bike trail and riverfront park...Now its invaded by out of town men in spandex and cranky rich women...I get all kinds of looks and complaints from people who cant control their dogs or get scared of my driving...That's when I take a short walk home and bring out the belligerence machine...Its a Losi Raptor Rey converted into a basher...Then I really drive like a jerk to tick them off and set my 3 sons lose...Reclaiming this land sick of people who don't live here telling me what to do
There's a closed sign, but are there any signs that say you can't use RC's here? Our local track has a "NO RC VEHICLES ALLOWED" sign so if people do still try, they get ripped a lot harder than this. Respect should be a mutual thing.

That guy was wrong. Even if someone is breaking every rule at the park, if they’re not hurting anybody, I would never say a word. In fact I’d support them and do anything I could to help them. Freedom in this country is slowly being eroded and people like him are the ones blind to the big picture. Imagine you get close to someone, enough to make them uncomfortable and you wait until they’re not mad anymore. Then you move an inch closer until they’re uncomfortable again. You wait til they calm down and move an inch closer. Pretty soon the guy had backed up so far that he’s in a different county. Now apply that to our rights and our freedoms. It’s bad enough that the govt is pushing us back, we don’t need Ken infringing on our rights now too. People don’t even realize when they are part of the problem that is destroying our freedoms in this country. We’ve been pushed back far enough. It’s time for good people to stand up and fight for our rights especially if we’re not causing harm. It makes me sick to see people act like that. Keep doing what you do Earl. We gotta stand up for our god given rights. Rights that our forefathers laid out to protect the little guys are being eroded everyday. We can’t let them win

The guys at my local dirt jump park made sure to exclude RC’s and anything else with a motor. 😅 they call the cops and stay & wait to make sure we leave. #Weirdos gotta go back one of these nights with saw blade wheels and actually tear some sh*t up now😂
Elk Grove bike park as I just went to the web page it host bike race and jump event showing it’s not a local state park but funded by a federal government park also does rentals for picnic areas most all federal park say no RC of any type and I see the clearly say no motorized bikes and no RC cars allowed even as a spectator you can’t go on the bike park unless your a coach try and find a state supported park area for mountain bikes sad to see these parks close off to ppl wanting to use rc cars 💯
