I’m no traxxas guy but brcc no xmaxx killer 😂 I wanted them to blow up the granite to 7th scale with 6s system for 600 or 6th scale with 8s system for 800 $ and that be comparable to xxmaxx but as good as Arrmas are they’re no longer considered budget friendly , idk maybe I’m wrong what do you guys think 🤔
I have no local hobby shop on my city, and honestly in my country I’ve seen few shops. I traveled 2.800kilometers to Orlando Florida to get my first 1/10thrc car and I love it so much! Is an ARRMA Granite (for parts I breake or spare tires I’ve been using Amazon as my backup hobby shop). But Nick and Josh were so so cool and treated me so nice that I made myself a promise to save money and come back to that hobby shop to buy my future XMaxx.😊
Went xmass shopping over the weekend and definitly went into my hobby shop to pick up stuff for the kids. Way rather get lego toys etc there than walmart
"Time will tell" 😂 well all the new videos are about the Xmaxx V Ultimate XM. Like you say it's all about how ya drive where ya drive. Xmaxx for the win
I don’t think you can compare the two RC’s drivewise. One is a Monstertruck the other is a truggy. Qualitywise I would always go with the xmaxx. It’s a tank 👍👍
No rc flips as easy as xmaxx or has such terrible turning while on the throttle and I'm not sure why everyone has such a boner for the big rock 6s it's just a fireteam without the hand brake and different tires or am I missing something it has no real major upgrades
I got a new xmaxx you think is ok to upgrade the esc and keep the stock motor because im not doing any bashing just some off roading dirt ,grass, asphalt also gravel driving
I suggest using it stock first , maybe you won’t use that extra power till you enjoyed using it stock for a while , my buddy had his for few years and has no idea why everyone says to change it , even I used stick esc in the maxx till it went bad , you may not need extra power for a while .
Stock motor on Bigrock ? Why replace the esc with Max6, what's makes it better? I'm thinking of getting the Big rock. I got the Mojave 6s it's a lot of fun.
@@earlmoorhead5555 Wish I had such a nice place to run mine. I am way up north in Canada. Further north than parts of the Alaskan panhandle. We just got through almost a week of weather below 0F. Finally warmed up today and should be in the low 30s tomorrow. Hope to get mine out this weekend for a bit. I don't like to run it much in the cold as the plastics get too brittle in the cold.
I love my G1 V2 6S Xmaxx and have no need to upgrade to an 8S. I see most people like to run flat out I like to run, off-road, and in the woods where I can tear up the forestry 😂 while seeing the suspension in action . It is funny I rather see my slash go 10 miles an hour over a bunch of bumps, rocks, ruts and branches bouncing and jumping all over the place then ripping it down a straight away at 45 miles an hour. It’s just for me i’m not all in how fast it just goes from one point to another point. It’s what all happened in between getting there what I like to call the (Action). Like sports we all like to see the ball go farther, but it is really the sports player watching him/her in (action) getting from one point to another point without getting tackled or tagged that puts us in the edge of our seats.
The Xmaxx is perfect. All it ever needed was an ESC upgrade maybe the servo also. Adding more power and alloy hurts it in my opinion. Same opinion for the Big Rock. Great comparison🤙🏽
They are both truly awesome! But i gotta say I'm leaning towards the #B-16 myself (: btw love the onboard footage the hud and the fact that we could hear you clearly while you were ripping! 🔥that was pretty cool😎👍🔥
They need an 8s bigrock who is truly a monster truck wih HCG and longer than the xmaxx all plastic and it will beat it. Cant really compare a 6s trucks vs 8s trucks
But I just did compare the to as there the same wheel base and run about the same speed on a ground and pound they really act about the same on a track jumping the xmaxx will go higher but the big rock will handle better do to the LCG chassis and that’s where the XRT might shine and there in the same group as far as size 🤔
Had my BR6s out for it's very first run today and it was awesome. I do have the esc problem and am waiting to hear back from horizon hobby as to what they are going to do to resolve it.
Got my xmaxx and sledge paired up as well great combo … 👍👍👍 maybe one day when the glitching issues are resolved I’ll consider but meantime I’ll sit on the fence 😆😆😆 … can you compare with the sledge ??? Can hear those gears from my house 😲😲😲 get rid of the pins I know your 30 year experience is capable of doing proper meshing 😐😐😐 I’ve found those pins are not always accurate 🤨🤨🤨 happy holidays …
Great video Earl and this is why I am getting one !! Oh by the way I saw a video from another channel he showed he got his REPLACEMENT ESC from ARRMA for his Big Rock and swapped them out stock for stock and it STILL HAS THE GLITCH so that leads me to believe it is NOT FIXED !!!! But I may do what you have done with yours and get a MAX6 and be done with it !! Thanks again for the awesome videos !!!
Do you think the tire styles have something to do with your preferences? It seems they both allow for a little looser grip off road and still allow you to drift on road without getting caught up with knobby tires.
I feel it’s the ground clearance and the ground and pound style of both seem similar even tho the xmaxx is a monster truck it not like the LMT Losi it’s a strong jumper and ground and pound style rc like I feel the big rock shines at 👀😳
Yes 👍 even the coke can motor I added to the XRT was just to much I felt I’ve learned if your bashing jumping and horsing around sometimes 50mph is all you really can use for most areas
My lhs doesn’t like Arrmas too much , when I told them about 4s new drop , they said why we still have the v2 versions that didn’t sell . They must get refunded when horizon blows out the old models , I know you mentioned this too , it devalues the brand unlike traxxas never dropping the prices
So far the servo great speeds there as well just the pivot balls getting tight is over working the servo and will need attention after each run or upgraded ball caps to hold the adjustment a problem Arrma had for awhile
MMX8s is a good esc but not as good as the max6 price point for bashing castle links awesome 😎 and I’ll always use it for my onroad speed builds but for a basher there a little sensitive for the abuse 👍
@earlmoorhead5555 good input. I have only ran mmx8 on my armmas but had one pop. So just looking out my box. Still not convinced. I know the spektrum 160amp esc s weak af. Ya know
@@TurtleRc yes arrma limits the firmware as hobbywing used to have a weight limit on there esc boxes that is now been removed after horizon started using them on heavier rc cars 🤔
I think for me I'd go with the big rock for all the reasons you say but also cause arrma's entire 6s line has all sorts of interchangable parts to customize with if i wanted. Xmaxx is more of a one off type platform.
Traxxas has way more optional parts and tuning possibilities so I don’t get what you’re talking about. Availability is also better with Traxxas and prices for parts way better
