Traxxas XO-1 Little Hacks to Achieve 100MPH 

Thank you and that is exactly why I think Traxxas released the updated version with the large wing. I was looking at that and thought that would create drag but more rear wheel traction. But we getting there.

The re release revised version isn't much different. You're fine. Just purchase the rear wing and cut a vent hole in the body.

@@MatrixRC Yeah i was thinking it would make more sense to convert the one i have to the new one the upside is i can pick my own electronics, body and wheels\tires and i don't have to the unlock the stock esc to go fast. But the only downside is it will cost more upfront.

Which is a huge disappointment to many XO-1 owners.

@@MatrixRC I wish Traxxas would sell the XO-1 as roller with a clear body and wheels and tires like they did with the Slash 4x4 Platinum but without the electronics. Arrma sells the Limitless as a roller and pretty popular and sells i personally wanted before i decided on an Infraction it's so hard to talk about the XO-1 nowadays without mentioning the Arrma 1\7 on roads.

I concur. Instead of a 799 price point with cheap parts. It's only natural to gravitate to the Limitless and HoBao VTE Rollers. You Dave money and get a premium car

Body wasn't the problem. The ballooning of the tires was. And there is nothing you can do about that. Replace stock tires for another set of stock tires and run it again. You have a few runs before they go.

You cut for the factory wheels. Tires balloon like crazy. This point was to get 100mph which is extremely rare by most XO-1 owners. And the Traxxas app is extremely off on the speed. It only calculates the rpms which you can blip the throttle to get 100mph. My app said I did 110mph but it was only 94mph. But the factory run series show every possible way to keep it factory as advertised to achieve 100mph which is extremely difficult. The final video of the series I share the solution to getting 100mph but unfortunately I do not consider it factory as advertised.

@@MatrixRC I might have to get one. I'm not a speed run guy but I do like high-speed circuit racing wondering how it will do as I don't have a 1/7 scale only 1/8.

Honestly nothing against Traxxas but you would have a better experience with a Hobao VTE 1/7 extreme and put your own electronics inside. You would save money and have a stronger car.

@@MatrixRC I do like the hobao's as I have 3 already. What I like about the xo-1 & the arma's are the front splitter, side aero & rear diffuser. No one makes any for the hobao's unless you make them yourself.
