Welcome back to the channel everyone. Todays video is a quick unbox and look at the newest Traxxas XRT 8s Truggy. It is so very similar to the Xmaxx so that alone is good for starters. Check out the video and see what she looks like under the hood. Stick around to the end and I have some clips of its first run. I will say for the size it may be a bit under powered. Or maybe I'm just getting to used to the castle creations xlx2. Please do subscribe to the channel as i plan to upgrade the truck very soon with some new electronics and some homemade carbon fiber lipo trays. I will also be installing the PnwRcMadness Motor mount and doing some testing with a belt drive as well. Lots of plans for this truck in the near future

The “cooling” system is absolute rubbish. It gets too hot too quick just from basic Bashing. First things to do when getting XRT. 1. Replace Servo 2. Throw a hobbywing system in it Check out my one take on the XRT. Quite underwhelming.

@@RCRoads Yeah but, functionality should pave the way and form should follow. But we will never get that haha. It is a big investment to get it to where my Kraton is at. I’ll say, “it’s durable but, it’s not the big bad rig everyone is leading people to believe.” For what I’ve done to mine (future vids coming soon) I would rather build another 12s Kraton that performs better and save money. My thoughts on that in an upcoming video.

Super cool review the SRT it’s getting a lot of attention form the Rc community I believe, but I honestly can’t wait for the Xmaxx come out whit body clips 🖇 on it it will be a killer ones again 🎉

Why does nobody use the Traxxas batteries?

That I am not sure of. I race off road electric also so for that Traxxas setup doesn’t work. A lot of other reason why people don’t use them. I am not knocking Traxxas batteries either, honestly I’ve never even owned one. I’ve heard from some good friends and seen the results they do pack some punch, and I’ve seen a lot of people not care of them and them seem to last

Because they are a bit more expensive than your average lipo, (high quality lipos are as expensive as traxxas) but they are very good quality, and are shielded. if you already are in the hobby is usually more worth to swap connectors to your traxxas cars rather than buying new charger and lipos just for the traxxas cars. I personally have been using their charger and lipos for 2 years every weekend no issues, because they are super convenient and simple to use, they fit perfect in all of their cars, no balance cables and you literally plug and charge them, the charger recognises and sets everything for you.

@@pnwRCMADNESS I went to my local store to buy the red xrt. They only had blue or green. But they had an SE black. So now I’m one the very few SE owners. I hope it has something extra under the hood. Like A secret esc or motor.
