This is an updated video on how we're trimming trays in the office. It's by far the cleanest, most efficient way we've come up with (with the help of friends). Best it all, barely any tray polishing needed if at all. I'm no where near as quick as my assistants that actually do this routinely, but you get the point 😉

I started added names to the bases, so now I do. I don't have strong feelings either way.

I used a MiniStar in my last office and a BioStar in my current.

What type of scissors do you use to cut the retainers ?

I use a hot knife and Hatho Miniature Scotch Brite polishing wheels. Takes less then 5 minutes per tray if that.

Be sure to mask if you use a hot knife. I spent $450 or whatever on a Buffalo unit years ago. Used it once and then drawered it. Those fumes cannot be good for you. Reminded me of burning plastic crap in a campfire as a kid before being told that was not ok. 😬

@@bgrutterdds we have an exhaust unit next to it and we are masked. Seen no issue with the fumes.
