If you'd ask me to guess how this guy's head transformed, never in a million years would I have guessed "stored in his tummy, folds out and slides into place at a 45 degree angle"
You’d think an edgy black repaint of one of the franchise’s most recognisable and heroic characters would be considered kind of try-hard and too ‘shadow the hedgehog-y’ but that paint job is so cool it comes back around to being a staple of the franchise instead
Honestly I thought at first the grill dirt was just part of the design and he was a grimy boy, you could've gotten away with it if not for the annotation. This guy does truly look great.
I actually saw another version of this figure. It has the same mold of Scourge and Laser Prime, but it was a repaint for the Platinum Edition Year of the Goat Optimus Prime! Still good to see a mold like this! Great review!
RID scourge has the best Black Convoy colourings of all. The teal/red/black ratio is perfectly realised in a way I don't think any other Nemesis Prime-esque repaints have ever truly been able to capture
Your emgo sidekick parody is funny in and of itself. Simply poking fun at that impossibly unfunny channel and beat to death gag of his is great. But the fact that you actually have the ability to write sarcastic and funny jokes in the process makes it all the more sweeter. I'm a fan. And subbed.
He doesn't have electronics because they spent all that budget on the chrome! Always wanted the chrome trailer for Laser Optimus, it was so superior :D
Still one of the favorites in my collection. I have the Japanese “Black Convoy” version (from back when I’d buy imports on the regular). Still looks pretty awesome on the shelf (and I somehow managed not to lose 4 of his 5 shooty discs).

I will never forgive high schooler me for not being brave enough to ask the now defunct collectors shop near my house how much their boxed Scourge (or boxed _God Ginrai_ ) was, I always assumed I wouldn't be able to afford it and now that toy shop is no more. Happy Birthday, Repugnus!
I lost mine when I gave up Transformers for the second time in my life in 2008. Got back into collecting again, and since I couldn't find a Scourge, I got Fans Hobby Archenemy, the third party "Masterpiece" Scourge. The trailer eludes me for a reasonable price, but I can dream.
Strange that they didn't call this toy Nemesis Prime. Scourge the leader of the Sweeps, and transforms into a spaceship! Eh, I suppose there's at least a dozen distinct Transformers universes now. At least as many as Marvel and TMNT has.
I actually have this one! It was my favorite find from a local nerd shop, and he's only missing the sword, guns and missiles! Other than that, he's in primo shape, and the DR. Wu Dark Star Saber fits in his hand, which is an amazing make up for a cool sword!
Wow, a very nice review. I love Scourge from RID and have long wanted his first figure for myself, because all his subsequent forms in the future are either good and do not convey the original well, like the RTS version, or the TITANS RETURN version, which is cool, but not so articulated.
I got spychanger scourge from a random guy at wall greens, because it was on his desk and I asked him about it and because I was like 5 he was like “hey do you want it?”
Easily the best color scheme in the franchise. Also do you have the leader animated bulkhead? I know you have the head master but I don’t think I’ve seen your actual leader figure.
@@TRDQ wait the thing that cover the head in alt mode or the canon parts? And that’s sad. I just ordered a second hand voyager bulkhead though I’m super excited I’ve wanted him since the show came out but i was never able to get my hands on one.
