For context. Travis survived a plane accident and mark had cancer. That’s what he’s referring to when he said it shouldn’t take a sickness or planes falling out the sky. It’s what brought them back together

They’re talking to each other about things that have happened and to raise awareness for other people so if they’re going anything, or they might lose someone or somebody’s going through something to stop and pay attention and love your love ones

Mark had cancer, Travis was in a plane wreck and obviously survived.. The song is far more beautiful if you know the bands story. Not talking shit, but you had no right reacting to this song.
