Thank you, Nick. My family had been going there since the early 1970s. I was 13 years old. We stayed at the hotel, then the villas, and we bought a place in Mariner's Cove later on. Had 2 boats, and we loved it for 20 years more. We still visited after we sold, so I'm hoping your youth and optimism keeps the Treasure alive.
That is awesome! I am doing everything in my limited power to try to keep Treasure alive and also the “magical” ambience that Treasure was so famous for! I am hoping to at least have some part in keeping the place alive! If you ever go back please do not hesitate the reach out. I love meeting people with a similar interest in the island and boats.
Hey Ricky! Let me know if y’all end up seriously looking to buy some property there. I am friends with the best realtor in the area and I, myself, would be more than happy to assist y’all in any way I can.
@@NickOlinde Nick, I just came across your youtube from last Sept on TCay. Did the sale you referenced in that video ever happen? If so, have you heard of any plans to rebuild? My family was one of the original TC Beach Ville owners back in the 1960's. Just rips my heart out that it is languishing.
There definitely is still a lot there for homeowners. As homeowners we are friends with dozens of other homeowners and we are all still chomping at the bit at any opportunity to go over there! We have our boats so we can go around and enjoy the area. Treasure is DEFINITELY still a very special place. Also, the future is very bright for Treasure. Stay tuned!!
Blah Blah Blah. I was there several years ago and thought the place was a run down ghost town then. A handfull of people vacationing there and total boredom.
I’m sorry you feel that way haha it is mine and well as many of my friends favorite place on earth. Then again you have to go there knowing what to expect. If you go there for the first time and expect a resort and things to do without a boat and a variety of restaurants then you will be very let down. But we keep boats over there and love to fish, island hop, party, hang at the beach and it is the best thing in the world. Tons of our friends have houses on the island too so it’s a big party at someone’s house each night. We go out to eat at different islands each day and go fishing or diving etc. The Tipsy at night was my single favorite bar in the world! Before it got destroyed, the weeks around the 4th of July were PACKED! The island was completely full, the bar was packed every night, the marina was sold out, etc. During other times it is very low key which is why a lot of people like. Just go and relax and don’t worry about a thing. If you feel the need to go out or something one day just hop in the boat and go to another island for lunch. It’s a place where you can go and simply pretend the rest of the world just doesn’t exist.
