My father suffers from MG he had a thymectomy a few years back he just turned 73 his condition had been managed with the combination use of prednisone and mestinon he is also diabetic type 2. Just recently he is showing symptoms of MG Crisis the eye lid is dropping and frequent muscle weakness which hadn't happen in a few years. Since he already his thymus gland is removed how is it that he is still producing the antibodies?
In general I can say that there is still a lot unknown in this area. However for personal medical advise we recommend that you consult physician in person. This channel is for education purpose only. Take care.
Hi Uma, I understand your concern. However, this channel is only for general education especially for medical students. For your father's specific medical problem, it’s better to follow your physician. They understand you better. Being a doctor I understand the limitations of such chatting. If you have doubts you can take second opinion from different physician rather than seeking medical advise online. Take care.
