Me cutting now for about 15 years and still loving it , i take my time and enjoy every bit of it , put some slow down on the exercise hard or easy and you'll come back to cut another day .

Just fell a forward leaning tree yesterday. Everyone at home was saying "its leaning, must be easy". And I am like sweating, guys this is the worst type you can get". Been learning a lot here, thank you.
Digging it Buckin’! You’ve taught me about 3/4ths what I know about holding wood, and prior to this video, I had almost the exact same leaner scenario. I left more holding wood opposite the direction of lean, tied the top off 90 degrees to my Toro Dingo as a safety pivot if the hinge did break, tickled in the back cut, and swung tree about 65 degrees from dominant lean toward my house. Was a super proud moment for me too Sir. Thank you!

man that 372 is a nice saw sounds sweet as a nut,I'm a 461 user with west a coast build but these are my fav two saws of choise for falling in the woods..

Please share as many tips as you can. True craftsman are becoming fewer and far between. Glad I found your channel.
Almost cannot believe my eyes, I keep ‘re-winding’ the video in hopes to find a hidden reefer or guide line rope tied to the top of the crown with a big 4x4 pulling the tree in the direction of the under cut. Unbelievable buckin’ I’ve seen you do some crazy stuff in the past but that fall right there was one of the most gnarliest tree flops I’ve seen to date. Great job buckin you deserve to toot your own horn on that one kind sir.

That leaner reminds me of a 30" dbh 70' ash that I felled 90 degrees to the lean--center of mass was 17 feet off the stump. It was my most challenging felling ever. It took me 20 minutes to wedge it over with stacked felling wedges, a 4" glut, and an 8 lb. sledge hammer. I was elated that my Game of Logging training, my cut plan and execution all worked! As such I fully understood and appreciated the joy you felt!

Wow!!! this is one of they ones that you will alway's call BS on until you actualy see it. Thats an uncanny sense of what to cut and when you have.A real understanding of what is going on. I tip my hat at you sir!! Top drawer level work.
I feel the joy. One time I was hired to work clean up during an ice storm. Magic was made .... Its interesting how at times a person can make magic happen. Always a risk and its awesome when all goes well.
WTH? What is there to give a thumbs down? I know you have to much class to respond, but I don't . What bitter soul is not tickled pink by this amazing feat. I learn so much from you, one of these days I will fell trees. People that know I have all kinds of chainsaws and axes always think that's all it takes for me to go cut a huge branch, or a tree. When I tell them I'm not qualified, and possibly saving their home or someones life by declining, They will risk anything to save a buck. WOW! Thanks.

Thanks again that was the kind of example I was looking for to tackle some of the hardwood tough leaners I have .The only exception to mine is my trees are a lot thicker with some widow maker branches.With your techniques I am sure I will accomplish it .Don't worry I always take my time to plan out .No rush.Your videos are very helpful .Every tree and species of tree has its own challenge to learn from I like that you can show us that in your technique and from your experience.
Ya know , watching your videos is a little like watching demolish man . Only it takes place in the woods . Oh and also add a little comedian to the entire show .
