Recently the Beavers have been busy cutting down trees and preparing for winter. They are storing food and adding to dams and their main Lodge. Most of these trees have been Willow, their favourite source of bark and leaves.
They usually have a food store near or in the Lodge where they stash branches and leaves.
Using trail cameras I have managed to capture some of their tree felling action in the new Enclosure. Never captured a tree falling before.
They are also making use of the recent heavy rains to build up their wetland habitat.
