It's a useless machine if it cant handle an adult passenger in the back. I really don't understand Trek's rationale. Why bring out a long tail Cargo bike if you're not going to design it to handle an average adult passenger's weight?
How often are you carrying adults on the back of your bike? I am intrigued, I have never been in this situation, ever. I would suggest that if you are in a country where this practice is common, this bicycle will be capable of it.
