Trek Madone SLR 9 Build | Cycling Lounge 

Bike builders are so under appreciated though...this man is very good at what he’s doing. One thing for me is that I’ll never go for these Disc Brake...Rim Brake is still my favorite,the sound of the hub sounds different on Rim Brake than on a Disc Brake,and I just love it. The MADONNE in RED for me is a winner.👌🏿🇿🇦

I am complete ZEN. I also like the black nitril gloves, the grease and the torque wrenches! Very clean build up!

Therapeutic ! Love it....chocolate this time, last time it was a boutique beer. Next build I feel you need to combine a stout with some dark chocolate.

its stunning, I would ride her too. one point.. when you added the paste to the inside of the seat tube, did the brush leave a bristle in there? it looked visible even once the seat post was fitted.

What are you applying to to the seatpost in the beginning? Is is carbon gripper paste? Mine is full of dirt, and I had to clean it, was wondering if I have to apply carbon paste before installing

When attaching the brake hoses to the levers, you can save yourself time and make less mess if you cut the hose pointed upwards, install your barb, pull the yellow plug, insert the hose assembly and tighten the compression nut. No need to remove the compression nut and olive before installation. Much less mess and 99% of the time you don't even have to bleed the brakes if you do it right.

Would you tell me the color of this Madone, Cycling Lounge? (Vice pink? I guess. )

This bike is on my serious list so I'm very critical. I hate the gloss pink but that's purely personal .. you will be noticed though! Cosmetically I think the cranks let it down .. though I'm running DuraAce cranks with Shimano's power meter on my TCR and I can understand people wanting an alternative. I don't like my ride looking like an advertising billboard (unless I had sponsors paying me) so the big Bontrager logos on the wheels have to go ... in fact I'd probably choose different wheels even though I believe the factory wheels are pretty good.

Now I understand why non of our local Trek sponsored teams ride Madone. What an absolute nightmare to build.

great bike and an impressive amount of work to set it all up. Bartape and saddle are a mistake imho. They both should have been white or both have to be black. ;-0
