IMO ya can buy a standard 4x4 truck and make it way better than a Fx4 or Tremor with a few upgrades. Even Fx4 is just cheap skid plates and a sticker. (I’d rather aftermarket skids and I pull my stickers off anyhow!) I’ve got the electronic locker in mine and selected the plow prep package. I’ll never ever plow, but with the plow prep the truck sits virtually level from factory. I upgraded to 35.7” Falkin tires (way better than those Good Years) since I didn’t want to go 37 and the truck looks very very good. People think it’s lifted or leveled and it’s not. But if I wanted to, I could put fox shocks or carli suspension upgrades on it and would get way more bang for Buck. I did load the truck out with every other option (minus sunroof) available. Certain things like ventilated seats, I’ll never ever go without again!
@WallyHunter1875 sounds like a beautiful truck! The reason the tremor matters to me is the lsd in the front for the swamps. But for most people that won't matter
Ford sells the LSD for front axle for F250/F350 that comes without it for about $500 plus labor to install. I would think for about $1k you can have the front LSD in any F250/F350 (even regular cab long bed).
Love the midsize cause I need it. But HD trucks are in my opinion the smartest and best trucks to buy if you can get them into places you need to go. HD offers higher quality, more reliable and durability, better value, better resale, more bed room, more capabilities off road etc than full size. Did a video a couple months ago called skip the full size. For my money it has to be midsize. If I didn't hunt in such tight gnarly swamps I'd be in a hd again. Best reuck I ever owned was my 2019 ram Cummins. Also owned a 2014 f250 that I loved
