Bro I wish my parents raised me like this. I’m gonna do my damndest to raise my kids like this as best I can. When I have kids I’m still in highschool. But I’m literally jealous of how these beautiful children were raised (they are all so cute I can’t!!).

I’m obsessed with these tiktoks not only because it helps me be a better nanny and babysitter (I don’t have kids but I still find these things very useful) but it’s made me realize things about myself that I never knew. My parents tried their best but I now know some of the things that made me have so much trauma

This is so calming and comforting and helpful. I was raised in a very different way by parents who still to this day insist that I was treated with respect. They wonder why I don’t respect them now as an adult, when they continue to show me disrespect. It’s insane watching kids do stuff in these videos and feel so triggered; but it’s good to be able to take a step back and think about how I could act in these situations with my own kid when she does this. Why am I so triggered by this? I’m bad with words when I’m frustrated or angry or feeling triggered in some way, so practicing ahead of time is 100% going to be the way to go.

Everything in this video is totally alien to the way I was raised. I was constantly yelled at and spanked, which made me feel unloved and unlovable. I never married and never had children, and I have very little self-esteem.

It’s amazing to see parents allowing their children to show emotions, my dad taught me to close any crying/sensitivity, so now I almost never cry, I can feel sad and emotional but not cry.

I'm 19 and still receive mental and physical abuse. Watching this compilation is literally blowing my mind. I remember instances back to when I was literally 3 and they way I was and still do get treated is so fucking insane compared to how nice these parents are.

Also, putting this in a separate comment because it's unrelated to my last one but... 7:55 is something a lot of parents need to learn. A lot of things I was struggling with could've been brought to light MUCH sooner if grades slipping wasn't immediately seen as disobedience or laziness.

Ok second rant of the day! Jk I am becoming a huge fan of gentle parenting which appears to be raising well adjusted humans who can handle and process their emotions and feelings properly.

Family meeting are definitely not needed as sometimes its just over overwhelming and puts you in spotlights they're already feeling everyday in school. You don't want to do that because then it make a point of resentment for shyer kids, be observant and parent at each different child's needs. Big plus, grades aren't reliable, it's supposed to be an indicator in service of the kid's level of understanding with the material, not an indicator that your kids are somehow being lazy or off track for the approval of the parent. School is works FOR the student, student is not working FOR the school. It's an indicator that if by now you've expected a certain level of performance of understanding material that isn't being met, the teaching or curriculum is the inefficient worker in the equation - tutoring and mental health treating is nice, but at some point you have to let go of the terribly backward attitudes on education these days that students have to CONSTANTLY compensate for the teacher's and schooling systems clear malpractice. And most of all, automatically accusing your kids for systematic things you're not seeing that aren't their fault.

Wow this is so strange i wasn't even aloud to cry when i was younger or I'd get smacked or locked in the basement. This just seems way to nice how do the kids learn how to behave?
