Personally I think not every personnel of TF27 was aware of cycle things. Like our pilot Raven was very nice all the way and even wanted to take some beer with us when it's all over.

Maybe the common grunts really think he betrayed them cause they havent been told the full picture.

What about Horizons mothman or the things it did that can't be good for anything.

@@dioarya6275 Yes, object 106, unlike Ethan, is a real man who goes to the end, damn these endings are still so similar, in the sense that in PE 8 Ethan made an atomic explosion, that in Trepang2 the main character knows that he will no longer be able to return home and therefore, it also arranges a big boom, but in this case it looks much more epic and even a little sad. This game really deserves its own movie, Object 106 is a real hero!

Y’all really played FEAR for the story though? I mean, having a good plot is nice, but for an indie project focused on raw gameplay, its story was decent enough to keep you going on those red mist filled missions

As stupid as it was sometimes, I loved this games story.

I didn’t expect much, I just wanted a fun and meaty shooter, and I got exactly that, and the story, while being sorta cliche, provided me enough excitement to keep ripping and tearing through missions

106 falls to the ground and dies, then you resume from the checkpoint until you stop the upload

You are Subject 106, the TF27's 106th attempt at making the perfect supersoldier. Throughout the game they use you to fight against Horizon (I think a pharmaceutical company?) that discovers organic material and weird anomalies that have the potential to further human science in both technology and medicine, but they fuck up and create a lot of mutants and commit a lot of atrocities. You are sent in to destroy a lot of Horizon's research and projects because 1. They all are really human rights violations and 2. They threaten TF27's existence. After you kill Horizon's CEO, TF27 betrays you and tries to incinerate you because you've served your purpose and they are working on Subject 107, a better and more advanced version of you. Subject 106 is one of the only subjects who successfully fights back and breaks out, and depending on if you found every memory drone in each main mission, Subject 106 becomes aware that a lot of what TF27 had you do was just lies to get you to do their work. You fight 107, cut through all of TF27's last defenses, and activate the nuclear warhead in the basement to finally end the cycle of clones being made just to die once more for the benefit of TF27.
