@@Mpayne1472 they are life savers. When I was 17 working as a meat clerk at jewel-Osco. I’d chop up cat-fish for folks and I felt like I chopped my fingers but the gloves were on…never did that again but it does protect you(still hurts like a bitch)
To the Westerners watching this video, this trevally ('Paraw' in the local language) is being chunked up this way to be prepared into a curry. Coconut milk infused 'Paraw' curry is a local favorite. Further, as food is primarily eaten with use of one's hands and not with the use of cutlery, the chunks of fish with the bones still intact do not pose much of an issue. The Filleting of fish is a very Western concept, as protein is quite expensive in this part of the world and people try to use every part of the fish apart from its guts. I do enjoy my batter fried cod fillets along with a nice cold lager on the side, but trust me when I say, 'Paraw' curry is divine!
Thank you 🙏 truly satisfied my curiosity. Filleting fish is (in my humble westerner opinion) is a thing for elite or 1%. Plenty of folk in the west know that nothing that can be used should go to waste.
Very cool. It’s interesting how different culture have such different preparations. Japanese cooks filet fish often but do it in such a way to waste no part of the fish and get as much meat off the bones as possible.
@@dv8nxs944 I mean some fish might have whatever the equivalent of parasites or salmonella. You see how they always hose down surfaces in mills. But ofcourse I'm sure it's not an issue otherwise they would have changed.
This is the stuff I like from youtube shorts, and the comments(from what I’ve seen) have answered my question and voiced my similar gratitude for whats going on in the video IE the confidence in his chops and just the job that prepares stuff that will inevitably feed someones family.
Only us westerners are concerned with bacteria. The rest of the world eat what they can, when they can, how they can.... However, I am still wondering who made this guy wear a mask though😃
@@DanMarcelino the first recorded food quality laws were in 1202. Brought about by severe illness brought on by ill made bread. Food illness was recorded and studied as early as 323 B.C (first confirmed written correlation between foods and sever illness) To act like this is new, is pure ignorance.
@@thekrakenguy6962 lol look at you go hey? 😂🤦🏼♂️ again… look at history and the vast MAJORITY that haven’t fallen ill to practices such as this. Get over it. Should we stop using motor vehicles because the amount of fatalities? Hmm.. how about smoking? Why haven’t they outlawed that yet? 🤔 let’s get real here. Just like mandating the “vaccine”; which does nothing by the way.🤦🏼♂️
It's very beautifully done so well or frustrated and definitely confident in everything he does God-bless him and I hope one day he could cook for me cook for me may God-bless him
This is the most Humane way to get your fish, be it bait fish or dish fish, catching it yourself actually promotes the growth of ecosystems, as long as its not with giant nets and you dont catch more than you can eat
Nope 👎👎👎 No one can just fillet or chop a fish like that with no experience. But with enough experience, anyone can chop or even fillet a fish. I bet you'd chop off your fingers trying what the man in the video do.
