I hate that she's not going to jail cause it is illegal to fabricate lies to report crimes/sue. At least she's been sued out of existence.

I am a female. I am also a die hard insane baseball fan, and even more so diehard dodgers fan. When this first came out my initial thoughts were I’m not believing a word of some random female pick me. I loved Bauer as a Dodger and was so excited to see our team gain him as a pitcher. For him to be falsely accused, ruin his career that he eats, breathes and loves. I have no words for what he must have been going through. Knowing he is innocent while this disgusting “women” goes unscathed and more importantly not charged with a crime. Un fucking believable.

Anyone who falsely accuses someone of rape or assault needs to be put in jail. They are ruining the other persons life and its sickening

Jaxon, a close friend of mine, was falsely accused of domestic violence by his girlfriend at the time. Jaxon had to serve prison time. Now it's difficult for him to find a job because of the criminal record.

Also, this all started because Bauer talked shit to Ken Rosenthal, who “as a sports journalist” actively wrote to the DA’s office to try and convince them not to drop the charges against Bauer. Rosenthal is the reason this escalated like it did. Rosenthal is also the one who knew the Astros cheated in 2017 yet held the story til 2 weeks after the 2019 World Series. It wa Manfred’s old dopey ass, Bauer had been dunking on him for years. It wasn’t til Bauer called out the exploitative “journalism” Of Rosenthal who never parroted Bauer’s call for upholding the rules of sticky stuff for pitchers, and when his decade long campaign failed he decided he could do it too. So he did, and he got paid…

This won't be controversial at all. As a law student, I got curious at one point and did some looking into the Bauer cases (just publicly available pleadings and whatnot, nothing fancy) and was immediately skeptical. I'm glad its been cleared up, and am sorry for Trevor that he has lost these years of his career.

What sucks is that even today news companies are covering this and not mentioning his innocence and her absolute lying disgusting behavior that should put her in jail for a long time.

The interesting thing is Japan absolutely loves Trevor Bauer. Not just as a pitcher and youtuber, but also as a person. Contrary to the pre-season reputations, he's been super respectful towards Japan in general and he's possibly the most enthusiastic player in the Baystars. His attitude and fan service towards the people are awesome, and we want him to stay for as long as possible. In any case, we're glad he was able to somewhat clear his name.

I think every woman who has ever won an assault case should be able to sue this woman for completely undermining all legitimate cases of assault. She is a disgrace to the human race and to all women everywhere, especially the ones that have actually experienced this type of abuse. And she also deserves a long jail sentence for ruining someone else's life/career.

This is why it is important to not to jump to conclusions about anything you here nowadays. You need to wait it out, do your research wait until even evidence comes out so you can make your final decision about a person or situation. As awful as this must have been for him, the fact is that this whole thing seems to have really matured him. If you watch his old videos and compare them to the ones recently, you see a completely different person.

The main reason for his suspension in my eyes is how hated he was by everyone in baseball. When he was accused of assault, that was the last straw. Whether or not he was guilty doesn’t matter, but when he was accused everyone just collectively decided to kick him out of the league because of how much of a jerk he was

If one read up on Bauer's case it was extremely obvious that he was harshly and unjustly painted in a bad light due to the social climate of America at the time. Not only was he bound to lose in the court of public opinion but no one in the league was gonna stick up for him either. Unfortunately he rubbed too many players in the wrong way due to his extreme competitiveness and antics but even worse he called out MLB on it allowing pitchers to cheat.

Ive been saying it for 2 years... And ive seen so much damage done in my job as a Police Officer... Protective orders might be the most abused piece of our legal system ... They are civil fillings that have the weight of criminal law and yet they dont require PC... They are very dangerous and easliy misused and abused by those with no sense of shame or justice ... Most people would be shocked to find out how easliy some one could make up charges on you at the court commisioners office or file a BS protective order... And while Bauer went through this hell... Marcel Ozuna was observed on police body cam choking out his wife and he served a bs suspension and played in the same season and is still playing on the braves ... Im so sick of our upside down world and my faith in human decentcy has all but collapsed ...

It’s unrealistic to sue the team for not extending the contract but the MLB’s independent investigation as well as the union’s role in that whole process should be evaluated.

I firmly believe that every convicted criminal should be punished to the same level as the victim. Falsely accusing someone of a crime should be treated as every bit as heinous as the potential punishment the accused would have been subjected to.

Everybody owes that boy a huge apology. I never stopped being a fan or doubted him. I've been watching his career in Japan and trying to support him as much as possible. There is no way he could have done the things they said without filing charges and following it through. He was just not the most popular player with the league and his team. Outspoken I believe one would say. But the fact is most of the things he said were true. He trained differently so the training staff hated him.
