Here is my first playthrough of the 'Welcome to the Abyss' DLC for Trials Fusion, the 3rd of 6 packs coming out over the 12 months post release. Overall this was one of the nicest looknig DLCs to date and the hard and extreme tracks were really fun while the medium tracks seemed to have a ton of space for timesavers.
Vid went a bit long but I was just having too much fun. Hope yo enjoy. Oh and here is the link to that article i mentioned.

I agree with you about the skill games but I think FMX should not be in trials what so ever. I dont think it belongs in a trails game, maybe supercross games but certainly not trials. I hope they dont include FMX in anymore of there trials games in the future.

I don't think it shouldn't be but I think there should be an option to disable it on non-FMX tracks for people who don't want it. I've had runs ruined when I accidently nudged the right stick and the rider leaped out of the saddle to show off instead of concentrating on the job. I mean the chances are good I'd have screwed it up somehow anyway but the inadvertent showboating didn't help matters

***** Well I think these jeans are very special in that everybody can wear them at once or nobody can. Taking the jeans off would leave a lot of people feeling more naked and you don't want to make people feel naked do you?

William Morgan Well the jeans analogy is serving very well here as well, personally I detest jeans, give me a good pair of quality trousers any day, that or shorts made out of cut off track suit pants with a big hole in the bum that I wear because they're comfortable all right?!?! The way FMX is at the moment, it's like we're living under a mad denim obsessed despot who has decreed that everyone must wear jeans all the time because there's literally no option not to. If there was an option in the menu that enabled users to disable FMX tricks on non-FMX tracks, it would be like allowing the peasants a choice of what pants to wear. If you like FMX, don't enable the option and be as much of a showoff as you like but if you don't like it then let us tell the game to ignore input from the right stick (that or just routing the right stick input into a dead end would be the easiest way to implement it) and only have promising runs ruined by our own incompetence rather than accidently bumping the right stick and rather ironically doing a superman and being anything but super...

Globe Galloping Sod labour, sod liberal. Install me as benevolent dictator and I'll solve all the problems! I'll wipe out the concept of partisan politics and after a decade or 2 when I've sorted out all the laws to make sure corruption can't get back into politics, I'll introduce a new non-party based democratic system. Politicians will have to actually DO stuff to get votes rather than just 'not be the current lot'. I'm not saying there won't be deaths, people might not like the giant statue I erect to celebrate my own ego but damnit I'll solve the problems of partisan politics and this country WILL have world leading broadband!

lol, i got to this point (22.00 mins into the video) with 60 faults, then struggled for 15mins, and 440 faults later....nothing. Got over to the other ramp with the incline but failed around 15 times there, haha

I loved this dlc pack! But... I thought the Extreme track was just a little to easy. They were all really fun/good tracks though!

Mr. Shady.... I think I might have rewatched half of your videos in the past three days, you need to do some trials as asap as possible! yes I know, double statement, shows how desperate times are. Also, if you would make them long, that will most definitely scratch my itch!

I know a lot of people don't play with announcers/subtitles but make sure you put them on for a bit while you play this expansion. It adds a lot to the atmospheres of these tracks.

I find FMX really fun, trying to go for 150k+ scores is really quite challenging, but really rewarding!

The gap you go over at 16:03 if you drop down there is an entirely different extreme difficulty route.. with one of the obstacles maybe even borderline ninja difficulty (or maybe I was just bad at it). Should check it out along with the warp zones at some point and record it. This is definitely the best fusion DLC to date imo. Had alot of fun platinuming the tracks and doing all the challenges. EDIT: should mention you have to jump the gap, wait for the giant in the background to throw a boulder at it, then back into it.

The gameplay is good, the controls work well and the tracks are fun but the narrative and the way it just gives you missions bothered me. You should check it a little bit more. Keep up the good work.

Fatshady, how would you rank the hardest extreme tracks in Trials? I would say from easiest to hardest, Eye of The Storm Deluge Rock of Rages Devil's Beak Frostbite Light City Run Way Of The Machine (extremely close second) Inferno 4 Some tracks have only one really hard checkpoint (Rock of Rages Second to last, Frostbite 3rd, Devil's Beak S ramp) while others are extremely difficult. (Inferno and Way of The Machine are the only two I ever timed out on. Have gold on all now.)

Yeah almost the same ranking for me, I think that frosbite is harder than Light City Run. And I had a really bad time trying to get the platinum medal on Way of the machine (because the track is really long). It took me 10h to get it but only 4h for inferno IV. But inferno IV checkpoints are harder I guess.

Do you ever listen to the story of Fusion or Frontier? It explains so much and I think its really under-appreciated. Everyone should listen to the story because it is fantastic. To play these games for the tracks alone would be doing Redlynx a huge disservice.

Yes! I noticed that when you do tutorials or play-through's the voices are not on in the background and they were crucial. So it would be really cool to see:)
