Observed trials could very well be the most underappreciated form of off-road motorcycling, but Gas Gas USA is hoping to turn that around in the United States now that the brand has been acquired by the KTM Group. With an exciting new line of 2021 trials motorcycles available now, Gas Gas invited us to join 10-time National Champion Geoff Aaron for an awesome day in the hills on the new TXT 250 and TXT 300. SML test rider Pat Foster is a trials enthusiast himself, so it was only fitting that he did the honors.

Biggest help to me for moto was Trials teaching me how to get the most grip out of front tire. Turning the bars v. Leaning the bike. Total game changer for riding off-road. Also using peg pressure to turn instead of using the bars. Get one!

I had an old 97 gasgas 250, now I have a 2009 txt280. the old 250 I had had more bottom end power at idle than the 280.

Speaking from experience, I believe that a 300cc will make you a more disciplined rider, as in, it will force you to stop developing habits like dropping the clutch and expecting the revs to fall because of the less power on a 250cc. But jump on a 250 after a 300 and you feel like a pro almost (Lol) and you can use more of/appreciate the available power...then you can wind it on like the pros whereas a 300 would use a fraction of the power but would be yanking your arms out too. Anyway, have fun guys - and always use a helmet.

I don’t see why you would need a 300 over a 250 ever… maybe a 200 would work I haven’t tried a ktm200 they could stall like 125’s

NG disc brakes, like Montesa, TRS, Sherco. Are top brakes for trial. That sound is due to dust.

300 is Too violent first throttle , specially in the corners , watch the PRO ! , They'd rather lift front wheel before cornering .. . Most of us aren't skilled enough. Not to mention arm pump just hurts after half an hour ride.. . Please ! ,Kill that bothersome nonsense Music
