Tribal People Discover Chicken Pie For The First Time 

Those lil' treats look delish, buT we actually eat Chicken Pot Pies regularly which have carrots, peas, creamy gravy, salt, pepper, chicken, milk, etc. and baked into a buttery crust (much like the one Chef used) and it's much larger than a small, bite-sized pie (although some smaller ones are found in our grocery stores, and/or as a novelty cafe/bakery type of item, too)!

I have lived in Iowa most of my 65 years and have never seen a chicken pie that looks like these.

I'm not really sure that I'd call this a chicken pie?? It looks more like a "pasty" or a "hand pie". From the title, I guess I was expecting a chicken pot pie, which would be made in a similar way to an apple pie, with a bottom and a top crust and a creamy chicken and vegetable filling. Pasties and hand pies are a more of a European staple. Either way, the puff pastry in these little pies looked very nicely done and the gents sure seemed to enjoy them! It looked like a biscuit, but nicely made. They need to try an American pot pie, it's approximately 4-5 inches in diameter ,top and bottom crust "like pie 🥧 " but is filled with a creamy white gravy, small chunks of chicken, green peas and carrots . Or make one large pie 10 - 12 inch in diameter and share with all !😋👍👍👍👍👍

I think you guys need to give this recipe to Mr. Chaudry and Mr. Tahir. They really like it. I hope you all stay safe.

Yummy,yummy,yummy.This kind of food is actually older than burgers and sandwiches with recipes from Medieval Europe existing. They might like "Hand Pies",so called because they fit in your hand.These can have meat and gravy but the best ones are fruit filling, chocolate pie filling or lemon pie filling.The filling is put inside a circle of pastry dough about the size of a person's hand ,crimped shut into a semi-circle and deep fried.

We usually have what is called a pot pie. What you have is different, but still looks good!

The pie they had is more of a British style chicken pie. Americans are more used to a larger chicken pot pie.

in the uk, we love our pies (more than the US does), but we usually serve it with either mashed potatoes or chips, and gravy (adding steamed fresh veg is optional, some like mushy peas and some prefer baked beans - whatever!) I prefer a load of steamed savoy cabbage with a little white pepper on top. if you were to go to an English fish and chip shop, you can get a steamed pudding, chips, mushy peas and gravy in one portion - and it's very popular. I wouldn't inflict chip shop curry on TPT - it's good, but it's also rather bland. (yes, our 'chippys' do more than just fish and chips!)

Our pies are made in dishes which are round. So all our pot pies, fruit pies, meat pies, etc. are round. And these meat pies would be terrible dipped in tea!! What a funny idea from a clever man. Love his humor.

I love eating a nice homemade chicken pot pie, but the frozen kinds are still good for a quick meal to eat. Besides Chicken; Beef Pot Pies and Turkey Pot Pies are a thing as well but you mostly find those in the frozen section at the grocery stores. A great brand of Pot Pies to eat in my opinion are the Marie Calendar ones, but nothing beats a pot pie made from scratch

Correction for the chef and moderator: In the USA, we rarely eat something like this, but we do eat a lot of fried chicken and biscuits, and chicken pot pie. Chicken pot pie is entirely different than chicken pie. I think Chicken pie is a British dish.

The only problem is that if there is too much biscuit, it will suck up all of the precious creamy gravy, so i typically don't put dough on top (or I'll have extra gravy to add later) But really, what you made looks delicious and irresistible. Pies were made in Greece, Italy and Egypt, way before America was even was known to exist. Many countries sell hot pies, ready to eat, including Australia. In Australia all types of meat pies are sold in most shopping centres and even local shops, hot and ready to eat, they are about twice the size of the ones on here. I remember them being sold in the canteen at school for lunch, but, back then, they were mainly beef pies. I'm in my mid 60's. I'm glad they got to try them.

It probably would have been nice to serve them this Chicken Pie... Along with a small bowl of Thick Creamy Chicken & Mushroom Soup... So that they could dip the mini Chicken Pie into the Soup... As it looked slightly dry compared to the Chicken Pies i usually have... But they certainly seemed to enjoy these Chicken Pies none the less. 👍😉

I britain we serve out pies traditionally pie mashed potatoe mushy peas and gravy, i am sure TTPT would love this meal.

I’ve never seen these before. They look good but I think most of us in the States actually eat Chicken ⭐️ Pot pies ⭐️. This is not an American dish....the only chicken pie is a chicken pot pie with veggies. I've never seen one of these... Although a friend In the UK told me they have chicken curry pies.😇❤️

Actually they are called “pot pies” and look just like mini-pies. They are filled with many different varieties of chicken, beef, vegetables, and gravy (sauce). Also frozen for either microwave or oven. 🇺🇸😃

Fish is too broad a category. If you look at sharks, it's bulls and females. Some other fish have similar designations, but when it hasn't been counted a specific word, it's just male and female. Why are some of these things called American? I along with a huge majority of commenters don't know what this is. The research is bad to get this so wrong. It looks delicious and it reproduces its recipe I would guess but this is absolutely not American by any stretch of the imagination. Why don't you get a common American cookbook like Betty Crocker. I don't like the tasters being misled with false information. We are misunderstood enough around the world already.
