IHOP was my first job and helped me become a responsible adult. I'd still eat there. It's a clean place and they give every employee a free meal, which is rare.

They are such nice guys. My wife grew up on a farm in rural Philippines. When she came to America, I got to see her react to many foods she never tried before- Peanut Butter and Jelly, BLT, Cheesecake, pastrami sandwich, all kinds of foods. I should have caught her reactions on video.

The syrup at IHOP is artificially flavored, but real maple syrup is delicious (and expensive---because it is labor-intensive. ) Here in the Great Lakes Region in the U.S. and Canada, the sap in the maple trees starts to flow in late Feburary and early March. The people drill a hole in the tree and collect the sap in buckets. It looks like water, but it is then poured into a large vat, where it cooks over a fire for a long time. It cooks down to an amber-colored syrup. The Native Americans pour this syrup onto the snow to make a chewy candy for the children. So glad you enjoyed IHOP pancakes. The whipped butter makes them extra special! Do you guys have leddu, loukoum, or zalabiya? We have something like zalabiya here, but they put powdered sugar on it, instead of syrup. It's called Funnel Cake.

Greetings from East Tennessee USA! This was delightful in so many ways! Gave me happy smiles! They were having so much fun!!! However, I can't wait to go to our local IHOP and make pancakes sandwiches as Tahir has shown me the right way to eat them from now on!!!

The stuffed French Toast with strawberries is yummy.

Now they're saying that it's childlike to put ketchup on a hotdog. I not only put ketchup on my dogs, I put peanut butter on my pancakes!

I love Tahir. He reminds me of my favorite uncle. My uncle had a unique way of looking at things and he would have totally made a pancake sandwich.

I used to order “Rootie Tootie Fresh and Fruity” breakfast at IHOP. Eggs, 3 kinds of meat, hash browns and pancakes with fruit on them. I could never finish all of it, but each item was delicious. 😊

Pancakes should be hot enough to melt the butter enough to spread and get soaked into the pancakes. I usually put it between the cakes. It didn't look like the butter was melting properly. I guess that's my American habit. It's very unique to pick up by hand. Usually, I use too much syrup and would get sticky. It most likely isn't maple syrup either. It's probably "pancake" syrup that is usually made with corn syrup. A lot of Americans call pancake syrup "maple" syrup. True maple syrup comes from "tapping" maple trees of their sap and boiling it down into a syrup. It's fairly expensive. Much more than pancake syrup used at IHOP type restaurants. Glad to see the guys enjoying the food, though. My staple at IHOP is 2 eggs over easy, hash brown potatoes, bacon, and toast. With a side of pancakes. I forgot if the guys have tried French toast. It is fairly simple to make and a little easier than making pancakes but similar tasting.

Rana and the others will be disappointed they didn't get to go. You should have one where they ALL go together. Everyone you can get who's ever been on TPT. Like a family meal.

Loved this video even if I have a love/hate relationship with IHOP. I love the food, but I always end up feeling like I just ate a brick of lard studded with xanax. I am useless for the rest of the day. Loved seeing them experiencing the deliciousness of IHOP.

They should have been told that the butter is to be spread between each layer of pancakes (and that you can request more butter) before pouring the syrup on the pancakes.

I love how when they get their food they admire it a bit, talk about it, smell it, and then enjoy eating it. It's an experience. Some folks in MY family (even me sometimes)? They'd have eaten half their food, before the villagers take their first bite. Maybe we can take a lesson from the villagers. Fully enjoy the moment.
