If Mama loves Roti so much then why not make a video only "bread" based? I don't mean sandwiches but normal bread just like Baguette from France or Khubtz from the Middle East or just any traditional bread? Then we can watch him and the rest of the villagers appreciate every kind of bread from all over the world!

I wish that Ismail had explained if the difference was in texture or flavor. Based on what I've seen here and on some of the other tribal reaction channels, the yogurt that these folks make and use is very thin... something similar to the consistency of heavy whipping cream. That got me wondering if it was a textural difference or a flavor difference that Ismail was talking about. If it's the texture that people are so thrilled with, it could just be that the man from the Sindh provence strains his to thicken it, more in the style of Greek yogurt. I don't think the villagers add any sweeteners or flavoring to theirs until or unless they're making a curry or something like a yogurt and mint sauce, etc. Could be that this other man adds honey or vanilla (or both) to his yogurt that makes it seem so different. Like you, I'm very intrigued! 😊

There are a lot of things that Italy has made famous, and one of those things is the Stromboli or pizza. Spaghetti might be the most popular dish in Italy but it was not invented there. The Chinese brought spaghetti over for trade and the Italians are the ones that decided to put the marinara sauce on it… kind of a joint relations thing?

Interesting that the traditional slipper is called "chawat". In Italy, there's a type of bread called "ciabatta", named for its resemblance to a type of Italian footwear. "Ciabatta" is also the origin of the English and French word "sabotage", which usually means to destroy or disrupt something, usually through internal conspiracy. For example, if a criminal destroyed a rival factory with a bomb, that's not sabotage. But if someone working for the factory intentionally loosens a bolt, causing a major failure, that's sabotage. There's some argument as to whether the relationship to the footwear is due to the action of breaking something by kicking it, or it it's (my favorite) the notion that putting a humble shoe into the mechanism of a large, formidable machine can cause that machine to break, as long as you know where to put the shoe.

I am happy they loved the food- although, mama is a tougher critic, but truly I understand what he means by pure foods. Also, they are correct in my opinion that Italian pizza is roti with curry on the top and that a calzone is roti wrapped curry! I am from a burb right outside of NYC. Our Italian food is the best. I have been to other areas of the country and their 'Italian' food is not good. I have stromboli's about once a week. Again, this does not look quite right. Chicken parm stromboli should have breaded chicken cutlets cut into bite size pieces, lots of tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. There should be herbs like basil, garlic and oregano in the sauce. The buffalo chicken stromboli is my favorite. Grilled chicken breast with buffalo sauce (hot sauce and butter) and blue cheese sauce. Got a nice little kick of heat to it. Sorry, but this just looks like mostly bread. I hope they aren't associating this with Philly, b/c again this is really associated with New York City area, as there are a ton of Italians who live here. Philly has the Philly cheese steak.

Why would you put lemon on your corn, that is so gross! The only thing that corn needs is butter and salt, And if you’re feeling adventurous try a little Parmesan cheese, you won’t regret it. so I don’t know how you guys cook your corn on the cob, but I think I’ve got it down to a science now.🙂 So fill a big enough pot with water it doesn’t need to be all the way, it doesn’t even need to be half of the way, you’re going to actually mostly be steaming them. Put some salt in the water, not a lot and bring the water to a boil. Then placed all of your corn in the pot and cover. You’re then gonna leave the corn in the pot for 11 minutes so that you get a good overall cook. If you drowned the corn in water and just leave it in there then your corn is going to be tough and chewy. Do you want your corn to be nice, light, and sweet. After the 11 minutes take all of the corn out of the bucket and place it on a plate so that it doesn’t overcook. Then lather your corn in butter and dust it with some salt, and now you’re good to go, try that corn and I guarantee you’ll love it. Don’t forget it may be a little bit of Parmesan cheese.

Stop serving ketchup with Italian American food. The dipping sauce should have been a Marinara Sauce similar to what is used as a pizza sauce. Also, I know these people can not eat pork, but stromboli is made with meats like Pepperoni, and Salami, etc.... you can find versions of these meats made from Turkey.
