Can we talk about Mr. Chaudhary's shirts? I have NEVER seen a shirt ironed with such perfection. Can you tell us why the media does such a horrible disservice to humanity by their false portrayal of other cultures
@appletooth3878
@appletooth3878 3 года назад
@@teekotrain6845 I can offer my thoughts on the US specifically; I cannot speak to media channels in different countries, though I do suspect that similar themes can be found there as well: Media companies - owned by a few private businesses in the US - know that most Americans don’t do any research beyond what is presented in the news. Heck, we often don’t even fact-check shared posts on FB. So if there is an agenda in which it is beneficial to paint a group of individuals or an entire culture in an evil, silly, ignorant, backwards, or otherwise negative/stereotypical light, it prevents people - regular Joes like you and me - from seeing each other as living, breathing human beings that feel pain, grief, gratitude, fear, and love as deeply and thoroughly as we. It makes going to war easier. It makes buying products made by children in sweatshops easier. It makes everything for bad people in powerful positions easier. It makes us blind to the real issues people in other countries and cultural identities face every day. We see media portraying other cultures negatively because bad agendas benefit from this tiny yet horrendously exaggerated perspective of them. That’s why I love YT channels like this: the difference in cultures and approaches to life are honored and explored with humor and much respect.

I used to drink the orange Tang as a child. Now at 65, I still drink it on occasion. But during the summer months, I also freeze it in plastic cups. Then I scrape at it with a metal spoon, and it's like a snow-cone. in the 1960s, it was marketed as something the astronauts used to take into space.

I have been subscribed since the early days and I have learned so much. I'm in Texas, half a world away. I've met Pakistani people of course; we have many immigrants in this area. However, the land, culture, language, and dress of the rural villages were more of an idea, a place on the map. I had seen and heard these things, but did not pay much attention. Since watching this channel, I've researched things I was curious about and have enjoyed learning. For instance, I learned about the different styles of head wear and what their origins are. I learned about the meanings of the gentlemen's names. I learned about the legendary bravery of the Baloch people. Thank you all for this glimpse into your lives and culture.

@TankToChest
@TankToChest 3 года назад
Hmmm yes that could work. Coughing is from your throat being itchy. Anything that makes it numb or scratches it could do the trick. Pineapple juice is very acidic and it’s why it makes a great meat tenderizer and brine. I’m assuming the acid eats at your throat.

@fafalina56
@fafalina56 3 года назад
@@ilovebts1165 it's the enzyme bromelain in pineapples that does the tenderizing. It is also very high in vitamin C, which it also beneficial. Raw pineapple is highest in the bromelain enzyme and may actually harm your mouth, throat and other mucus membranes if you are very sensitive to it. Cooked (or canned) pineapple has a lower content. You are better off having tea with honey, or pineapple juice with honey for a itchy throat.

I can't believe I've forgotten Tang existed. It was my favourite when I was little. I liked it so much that I can still imagine the taste.

Please tell Tahir that I tried his rice and orange zest recipe, and it was very good. Perhaps next time I will leave the shaved peels to dry longer to see if this makes a difference.
