I think the reason why people are saying Dark and Wild didn’t do well ( even bts said it flopped recently in suchwita 😭) was because Skool luv affair did better in sales. I remember reading in the bts book beyond the story Joon saying of the first 4 releases they made, the first one and third one did well but the 2nd and forth didn’t do as well which disappointed them but pushed them to work harder. ( 2 cool 4 school, ORUL82, Skool Luv Affair, and D&W) Funny thing is now Dark and Wild is a fan favourite album! I think the reason it didn’t do that well back then was cuz the schoolboy concept was more popular in Korea than the emo rock/hip hop style in Danger. But Hobi said that they didn’t want to repeat concepts even if it is popular they wanted to keep it fresh and organic so they tried different styles. That’s what I love about their music! It’s super innovative and diverse💜
will never get over how HYPED & EXCITED Jin was seeing Jewel arrive! 33:35 man clapped his hands, shouted "HeyyYyyYy!!!!!", leapt up and ran to hug her, along with hobi. he was so animated!!! SO CUTE PLEASE
This episode was really nice but on a sad note Jewel the girl that J hope and Jin got later died in a car accident she was really young and an aspiring actor I believe there's a vid on here with her dad talking about her life and death and he mentioned how happy she was doing the vid with BTS
Imagine RM just randomly coming up to u on the street and rizzing you up right then and there like- 😭 If any of them even LOOKED IN MY DIRECTION for a few seconds id be weak in the knees so those girls who ignored them have no idea what they missed out on.. 💀 😂
I mean you can't blame the girls, being aproachedby a couple of guys at night is exactly how you get yourself trapped into human trafficking. They were being causious.
They really put these boys THROUGH IT! Like we are all cringing the same way you are, but we are all rooting for them just the same. They did the most!!! This is 100000% taking them out of their comfort zone in every way imaginable, which I think was the point too. Visibility was 1 and they learned a lot of value that can still be used to this day in their careers and life but also they were widening that comfort range, having them overcome all of these things so they were capable of anything in their futures, no fear. Thats why they are known to dabble in every genre and have every type of content out there. Not afraid to take risks with their morals/values and love for music intact. Even now V is debuting on shows that have just been created over in Korea, they arent afraid to be the first to do something cringey/scary or being the first to fail at it...this showed them that.
20:36 seeing you feeling 2nd hand embarrassment is great, lol, i do the same thing. And this isnt the most cringest part hehe! Love that youre watching this it truely brightened my day 💜 38:51 noona is older sister, just as hyung is to older brother. This is what boys would say to girls and boys older than them. Unnie is older sister/auntie that girls would call an older sister/friend theyre close with, and girls call older brothers /close friends oppa. Tho oppa can be used in intimate relationships as well 😊
Hehe 38:40 "Noona" translates to "older sister" of a guy. It can be used as a friendly & respectful term amongst people who aren't biological siblings, especially to get closer, when it's established that both sides are friendly with each other. So Yoongi was calling these ladies as 'noona' as a term of friendly respect. That said, Victoria (the girl his team casted) isn't older than him (she was the same age as V!), that's why he said "she's not even a noona, but i end up being modest and humble in front of her", which shows his shyness and nervousness around her hehe.
20:29 I STILL CANT BELIVE THEY MADE THEM DO THAT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 38:52 It's crazy that jungkook DID DO A MUSIC VIDEO LIKE THAT. He grew up 😭😭😭✋✋✋ Dark and wild is currently a fan favorite album and people buy it now. But at the time bts had very high expectations for the album. The reason why bts members say dark and wild flopped is because skool luv affair had greater growth from their previous album orul82. Skool luv affair outsold orul82 but Dark and wild didn't outsell skool luv affair... get it? And their album after that, 'The most beautiful moment in life' trilogy series literally exploded in korea, so dark and wild was considered underrated. ITS NOT ANYMORE. Dark and wild is literally a top 5 album in most armys fav list.
Yooo not Suga said it’s been 4 years since he left home he don’t miss his mom and dad damn 😂😂😂😂😂 HE A SAVAGE FORREAL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that crack me up soo bad
To understand the fuller context of the time when Dark & Wild was launched, I recommend reading the Beyond The Story book! It is such a banger and sooo impactful as their 1st full length album! It did decently well!! but if I'm not wrong, the agency had very high hopes and expectations for Dark & Wild to sell much more, and when it wasn't met, they interpreted it as not that much of a success, especially as their previous release for Skool Luv Affair really blew up beyond their expectation. So they thought D&W would also be received by the public at an insane level. Especially as the agency needed the money to continue operations and to recoup their costs. For the members especially, they worked extremely extremely hard and put in SO MUCH hard work non-stop for their FIRST FULL LENGTH album (u can tell they put alot of their soul into this), they felt somewhat discouraged when the sales targets and expectations weren't met. but of course, we know that does not reflect on how amazing the album is!!!
I'm just really wondering where these girls who were not part of the MV are now. Like how do they feel in 2023 knowing that they spoke to one of our boys??
I hope you do get a chance to watch Sister Act and Sister Act 2. Definitely recommend watching them in order as the storyline and references in 2 will make a lot more sense if you have seen the first one. I think you will really enjoy them! Keep us posted!
I think that the girls at their age in Korea are mostly cute, they are slim, not very tall, with cute faces like dolls...Bts first time talking and seeing this type of girls is so funny😂
the adorable awkwardness that is baby Kookie in any close proximity to women omg. imagine this kid singing about fcking you right seven days a week a decade later
I really appreciate your reaction and I'm waiting for this thank you to 100th time and it make my day just like your reaction my face hurts for smiling to the whole video.
38:40 A noona (누나) is a respectful address that a guy uses towards a woman who is older than him (whether it’s s year or more). It’s the feminine version of hyung basically. When women address older men they say oppa (오빠) and if women are addressing an older female friend they say unnie (언니)
Oh this is just as cringey and funny as the first time I watched it, but at the same time I love it, Your reaction is just the added cherry on top, love it!!!!
I’m really surprised girls from a big city trusted them enough to talk to them. We were taught from young to get away from ppl asking for directions or help as fast as possible 😂😂😂 I guess seeing the camera crews helped & everyone trying to make it in LA. They really should’ve had a woman give them advice 😂
Johnathan I can't lie man you gotta put this patreon link in the description or something LMAO like it be a scavenger hunt tryna find it AND I BE LOSING😭😭
Honestly i'm glad they stuck more to who they are and didn't have a lot of girls in their MV's. Nothing wrong with having girls in them but the way American hiphop has/portrays girls i'm not a huge fan of so for me personally i'm glad that's one aspect of hiphop that the boys didn't keep.
Yeah that's one of the things I hated about AHL they kept making Tae be the dumb blond of the group and it stuck for some time after. I'm so glad ms Iris recognized his talent. 😤 Also, they recorded Dark & Wild at the same time as they filmed AHL. 😊 I too don't feel like Dark & Wild is a failure but they were looking at numbers and not how epic the album was in musicality and instrumentation and lyricism.
The amount of times I've cringed watching this episode 😭 but it's a good cringe lol We were all rooting for them and Bangtan tried their best to make the girls they casted comfortable Now that I watch this for like the 8th time I just noticed Seokjin casted a girl right away when he went out to the streets and then helped Hobi lmao he was pretty good!
