For figures that cost this much, I'd still expect something to allow them to stand on their own. Even if it's just to weigh down their legs at the bottom, or something....anything so that they can stand independently. They call them action figures, but everybody knows that things of this caliber are for display. I have two of these 12 inch figures-the Halloween 5 Myers, and this one of Loomis-and I love both. But they are both in a diorama, and I have to resort to finding creative ways of leaning them into things...When you pay this much, they should have some capacity to stand on their own...
To be fair, trick or treat studios do sell Halloween 1/6 scale stands for these figures separately (something I found out after making this video) and they’re extremely cheap! Regardless, Loomis actually stands just fine on his own with no need for a stand, I haven’t had a single issue with him falling over although a stand would definitely add to the figures presentation so I’ll probably be picking one of those stands up!
@@ARealHorrorShow Those stands make it look as if the figure is being catapulted by his ass...By way of contrast, the 7 inch figures usually have a simple base with a peg that corresponds to the figure's foot, and I cannot believe that those are that much more expensive to produce. NEITHER of my 12 inch figures will stand on their own....They both have FDR type physiques...robust through the torso and shoulders, but with legs that are downright spindly looking...
Great looking figure! And your tripping on TOTS not having good figures,I absolutely love their 78 Myers (fantastic price) and Art The Clown is awesome by TOTS as well.
I said I really like the Art the Clown figure but the TOTS Michael just doesn’t do it for me. The figure is great in terms of value but the sculpt just isn’t there and the tailoring on the figure is very off. Still waiting for a perfect 1/6 1978 Myers!
The movie came out in 78 so the trouser fit is accurate. Flares were big in the 70's. Im loving the figure but think the colour of the coat is a little off. Cheers for the review.
Although flares were big in the 70s that’s certainly not what Dr Loomis is wearing in the film and his trouser fit is not as baggy as on this figure and no problem!
I know I’m late but man I gotta say you should go with Halloween 2 Michael as I think that figure looks the best out of the classic looks for Michael. That’s who I got first as a gift and he sits scarily on my shelf. Loomis will go great with him for sure! Thanks for the review so much
I don’t feel like any company has done a particularly fantastic job of making a 1/6 figure of Michael from the 78 film. From the photos I’ve seen of the H2 Michael though, he looks great!
I own the 1978 Michael Myers figure. He comes in a very similar Halloween box. He's splendid! And Dr. Loomis here is definitely a pickup to go with him. At this point, they MUST make a scale Laurie Strode figure. how can they not?🙏🎃❤
ahh dr loomis i presume, great character played brilliantly by donald pleasence, the figure looks really good, i think i like him more without the trench coat, and the box reminds me of an old vhs box, anyways nice pick up 👍
