Exactly,i dont get it with all these youtube moto jurnalists or moto vloggers,i dont get why they say its a starter bike?its short ,its for newbies,its for women...i dont get it...they all are used to ride 150hp bikes?why they dont say it for example for the mt 07?i dont get it....a 250-400cc its a starter bike.i ride almost 30 years and i see a beautiful naked modern bike,not a streetfigher,a roadster,i like this bike.

I have one for almost 2 years now. My first bike at 40+ yrs old. I love the engine, the handling, the looks. I mainly do weekend fun canyon riding in Southern California. Until I learn a lot more about riding techniques, which I'm planning to do (in person training courses), this bike is way more capable than I am. It will be a keeper for years until I'll be ready to move on to something more sophisticated.

Had one for a year, at first ride it felt a little insubstantial, but i had just traded my street twin, of 3 years, which was a lot heavier. But within 48 hours of scratching around 'B roads, its chassis and lightness shone through, the engine is great, encouraging you to give it beans... And no the throttle is only lagging at idle, once on the move if you are riding it, how it wants to be ridden, you don't notice anything. Haven't spent silly money on the suspension, its ok for most situations. The brakes tho'are only adequate, overall, this bike is a great choice for a rider that wants to explore a bikes character. If a series two comes out with the daytona engine and improved brakes, only then would i trade in. Thanks for the video. 👍

You’re spot on and how refreshing for someone not to repeat the same old splurge. It’s a proper grown up motorcycle that’s after when pushed than 99% of riders can manage, and is more than enough for the roads. Amazing value for money too, it does not feel cheap in any way

Here’s my view, I had the 1200Rs , I tried the Trident 1 its gutless 2 it’s not comfortable 3 it’s got no quick shift 4 no heated grips 5 no CC , it just feels ok imo , in summary If I had to sum it up in one sentence I’d say “ it’s better than getting the bus” , that’s about it really 👍🏾

Great video. I picked up my new Tribute model 3 days ago. Running-in just now means below 4000 revs which equates to only 50mph in 6th gear 😮. As you said, this bike is extremely short geared but I found the gearbox to be harsh/clunky. Probably because it’s brand new.

Picked up a Puig (brand) Bat Universal (specific model) for my Trident 660 last year and have found after trying a two other brands/styles of windscreens (including another smaller Puig windscreen), the "Bat Universal" model in my opinion offers much more wind protection to the rider, so you can truly enjoy the Trident when riding, without having a big windscreen. Their website shows the windscreen with a Trident 660. Also this screen has better lines that work with the design of the bike. I elected clear to be able to see through it easier at night, yet they also offer a light smoke too. Lastly, the SW Moto Tech Blaze Saddlebags specifically for this specific bike fit the best of all other soft saddlebags, without the tendency to taper inward under the rear of the tapered seat. A few key accessories will transform this already excellent machine into a even better and usable bike. Downsized from a Yamaha FZ1 and haven't regretted the move to a smaller, lighter, and more maneuverable bike.

I like mine apart from slightly harsh feeling on bumpy sweeping roads and the rev/ fuelling is often uneven at around 3000 deapite various remaps at the dealer
@blueyondermoto
@blueyondermoto 2 месяца назад
I think it depends on what you're used to Brian. The ride quality on mine is good (certainly in comparison to my big Guzzi V100 which is.... firm 😄). I've not really noticed any fuelling glitches either, though Triumphs did at one time have a bit of rep for on/off fuelling around town.

I have a HD Roadster XL1200CX. Stage 1 and tuned to 68HP. It struggles past 80mph but only used on occasion and in an emergency to get away from the cagers. My bike could be lighter. I am really looking at a Trident 660 or Tiger 660. I remember when 650cc bikes were considered a Mid to Large bike. Now big crusiers are 1400cc to 1900cc. Super Sport 600cc to 1000cc produce 94HP to 130HP. Anywhere from 20 to 40 wasted HP and unneeded. Standards are where it is at. Has exactly what you need and nothing you don't. I always wanted a Nighthawk 750 back in the day because it had everything you needed. The Trident is the new Nighthawk.

Had a chance to ride one of these as a newbie some time ago - gorgeous agile bike with a nice triple sound. At 6'1'' I cramped up a bit though (bad back 'n neck here, unfortunately) but large part of that was also being a new rider and kind of being scared messing up on an almost completely new bike.

Just purchased one a few days ago... agree with most things here except the rear shock... which is the stiffest harshest feeling shock I have ever ridden. Its fine on smooth roads, but get on a bumpy back road and it feels like your teeth are gonna pop out. Can't comment on power yet because I have 600 miles of 51 mph top speed... ugh. Overall great bike I think.... thanks!

The TT is my 1st bike, my learner bike, a 50th birthday treat to myself. Although I'm new to the world of bikes there is very little I dont like about it. Although, the quickshift isn't amazing at lower rpm. Mine is Baja Orange. *a note, the connectivity module that operates using the My Triumph app only works with certain phones. Check before you add it, I didn't! 🤪

Most quickshifters work best at higher revs (its basically what they are designed for) use a bit of clutch at slow speeds and low gears.

It was mapped in to make it manageable for newish riders... I have one, just be a little more aggressive on the throttle, bike likes to be spanked, so its there if you want it.

Great cheap bike, cheap insurance, no one knows about it really. Will do around 130mph and acceleates like crazy with quickshifter. Has enough power to get you into trouble but not enough to really get into big trouble haha.
