I've absolutely fallen in love with the Digitakt since I got one a few months back, but triggers are the one thing that I haven't really been able to wrap my head around properly, so this is absolutely amazing!

I am confused about the NOTE param in the TRIG page and the TUNE in the SRC page. 1) The NOTE is default on C 5. If I make a sound from a raw Square wave from the sample, and put it on the sequencer, is it really C5 that is sounding? Sometimes it sounds a bit lower in the octave... 2) How do I sample my hardware synths and use them without getting confused by this? Lets say I sample my mother 32 in C3. But the default NOTE in TRIG page is C5. How am I supposed to keep tabs on notes if they are not correct? It would be awesome to have a video of you sampling your mother 32 and using it with your digitakt for bass/arpeggios. I just got my digitakt because of this series :) Also have the m32 and subharmonicon thanks to the best teacher in youtube :) Thank you very much

You're actually hitting on one of my main complaints about the Digitakt. I found this very difficult as well. I found that some of their samples weren't the notes listed on the trig page either. This is probably just the nature of sample based instruments. I'd suggest just sampling C5 and adjusting by ear. I don't think there's any sort of trick for this. In fact I didn't have much luck sampling melodic instruments. I think the Digitakt excels at beat making. Instead of sampling the Mother - I would just control it through Midi.

@@braintree56 yikes what a bummer :( Have you seen this video? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KFkjc0i-Wa8.html He uses monophonic samples to play chords polyphonically with the RK002. Looks very interesting , worth having a look at :)
