Trigger Snap Suspenders 

What I like about these vs clips is that they do not dig into your skin or clothing if you need to bend over or sit down for a period of time. Additionally, when going through airport security, I find these to be less of a hassle to remove a put back on. One Con I find to these is that they show of more metal than clip so they feel like less of a fashionable choice if you are going down that route. Overall, I find these to be the second-best solution after button-on suspenders.

On Amazon stores where these are available, a number of people don't like the clip ons because they say it scratches their leather seat covers (home or car). Others say some clip ons tear into their pant material. I chose the black or anodized black (non shiny) trigger snaps. There are also TSA friendly trigger snaps which I got too for future convenience.

I would put them in a small cloth bag and toss them with your laundry.
